Stub (clone pilot)




During the Clone Wars, in 20 BBY, a clone trooper known as Stub served the Galactic Republic as a pilot. He piloted a clone Z-95 Headhunter during the Battle of Umbara. In this atmospheric [combat](/article/starfighter_combat], Stub and other Republic forces fought against the Separatist Alliance blockade, attempting to take down the Dual Hemisphere-Omni Support Vessel commanded by T-series tactical droid Commander TM-171. This vessel was providing supplies to forces of the Separatist Alliance located on the surface of the planet Umbara. In the thick of the battle, Stub faced off against several Zenuas 33 Umbaran starfighters close to three Munificent-class star frigates and the support vessel, successfully destroying one Umbaran starfighter.

Like all clone soldiers in the Republic's army, Stub was cloned on Kamino using the genetic template of Jango Fett, the human bounty hunter. He stood at a height of 1.83 meters (6 ft, weighed eighty kilograms, and possessed tan skin. From birth, Stub, like other clones, had a behavioral modification biochip implanted to ensure compliance with orders. He was known as a resourceful and determined pilot.

The character Stub received a mention within the Clone Z-95 Headhunter Expansion Pack for Star Wars: X-Wing Second Edition, a miniature game created by Fantasy Flight Games. This expansion pack was made available on May 27, 2022.
