A'Koba, alternatively referred to as URoRRuR'R'R, was a young, yet capable, Tusken Raider. He resided on Tatooine during the era of the Galactic Civil War and had cousins named A'Vor and A'Vor's twin. In the time leading up to the Battle of Yavin, A'Koba launched an assault on Luke Skywalker, but was subsequently frightened away by Obi-Wan Kenobi.
During the Galactic Civil War, A'Koba made his home on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine, belonging to the tribe led by Chieftain A'Yark. Not long before the Battle of Yavin, A'Koba, together with his cousins A'Vor and A'Vor's twin, killed a young krayt dragon as a coming-of-age ritual. Following this, he asserted to A'Yark his capability to slay even the fully grown krayts.
Having received information about a mysterious shaman from A'Yark, A'Koba, driven by his desire to lead a hunting expedition, attacked Luke Skywalker. Skywalker was a local moisture farmer who, accompanied by protocol droid C-3PO, was in search of his lost astromech droid R2-D2. A'Koba rendered Skywalker unconscious, and then the Tusken and his cousins commenced a search of Skywalker's landspeeder. Their efforts were cut short when Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi intervened, mimicking the sound of a krayt dragon. This caused A'Koba and his fellow Tusken Raiders to flee in terror. Upon seeing Kenobi, A'Koba understood that he was the shaman A'Yark had cautioned them about.
In the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, A'Koba was portrayed by stunt coordinator Peter Diamond, who was the only stunt performer present in Tunisia. In reality, Diamond only raised his gaderffii stick a single time. The editors, Paul Hirsch and Richard Chew, repeated and reversed this shot multiple times to create the illusion that Diamond was swinging it back and forth triumphantly. The distinctive bellow of A'Koba was created by sound designer Ben Burtt, using the sounds of donkey noises. Within Star Wars Legends, the character was identified by the name URoRRuR'R'R.
A'Koba's actions in A New Hope bear a strong resemblance to the role of a member of the Knights of Sith in the rough draft of Episode IV. This Knight ambushed Kane Starkiller along with his sons Annikin and Deak at the Fourth Moon of Utapau, killing Deak before being killed by Kane.
