Gaderffii stick

A gaderffii stick, often shortened to gaderffii or gaffi stick, functioned as a bladed club employed by the Tusken Raiders. These implements were utilized for striking and beating their targets. The curved tip of a gaderffii, known as the traang in the Tusken language, could be coated with sand bat venom, which induced paralysis. Despite being a rudimentary weapon, it could be exceptionally deadly when wielded skillfully. Furthermore, the weapon served as a multi-purpose tool for everyday activities, such as cleaning the teeth of a bantha.

History

A Tusken Raider wielding their gaderffii stick.

During Luke Skywalker's search for the lost astromech droid R2-D2 within the Jundland Wastes, he encountered a hostile Tusken named A'Koba and observed his gaderffii at close range.

In 5 ABY, while situated on Tatooine, the former bounty hunter Boba Fett underwent training in the use of the gaderffii stick after becoming a member of a Tusken tribe. Subsequent to leading the raid on a Pyke repulsortrain, Fett earned the privilege of wielding his own gaderffii stick, which he personally crafted within the Gaderffii stick workshop. He utilized a branch from a wortwood tree discovered in the desert and constructed it with assistance from a craftsman, who employed a Tusken Adze.

He carried this stick on his back in 9 ABY when Din Djarin departed from Mos Pelgo following his actions in supporting the town's inhabitants. Fett later wielded the weapon on Tython against stormtroopers with devastating effectiveness, penetrating and shattering their armor with it. Fett subsequently attempted to employ it during an attack by Krrsantan. Later on, he used the weapon to kill Cad Bane.
