Agen Kolar, a male Zabrak from Iridonia who possessed the Force was a respected Jedi Master during the time of the Galactic Republic. During his time as a Jedi, he was known as a skilled duelist and held a position on the Jedi High Council. Along with Saesee Tiin and Kit Fisto, he met his death almost instantly at the hands of Darth Sidious in a lightsaber duel when they confronted him about being the Dark Lord of the Sith. Kolar, Tiin, and Fisto were the initial victims of the Great Jedi Purge, which eliminated the majority of the Jedi Order.
Before the [Separatist Crisis](/article/separatist_crisis], Agen Kolar was born on Coruscant. After his Force abilities were discovered, he was taken to the Jedi Temple for training in the Force, eventually achieving the rank of Jedi Master. He then trained a Padawan named Tan Yuster.

Kolar fought in the First Battle of Geonosis, the battle that ignited the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance. As a combatant, he was part of the Jedi assault team led by Jedi High Council member Mace Windu to save Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala from being killed by the Separatists. During this battle, Kolar's Padawan, Tan Yuster, was defeated by B2-series super battle droids and met his end. The Jedi Master took the blue kyber crystal from his apprentice's lightsaber and later put it in his own as a tribute.
In 19 BBY, while on Dagobah to uncover the secrets of immortality, Grand Master Yoda had a vision of Kolar's death at the hands of Darth Sidious.

Later that year, after Eeth Koth was forced to resign, Kolar, another Zabrak, took his place on the Jedi High Council. Kolar was present via holocomm when the two reported to the Council that Separatist "megadroids" were being built on Golatha and informed them of their plan to destroy the factory before the megadroids could be used in battle, a mission they completed successfully. Kolar participated in numerous important discussions, including when Supreme Chancellor Palpatine requested that Skywalker be appointed to the Council. He was also there when Palpatine announced that General Grievous was hiding on Utapau and suggested sending Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. Instead, the Council sent Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.

During the final days of the war, Kolar joined another team put together by Windu to arrest Palpatine, who was secretly Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith. Of the four Jedi Masters who went to arrest the Dark Lord, Kolar and Saesee Tiin were killed with ease, becoming the first casualties of the Jedi Purge. The other two Masters, Kit Fisto and Windu, also died, and Sidious changed the Republic into the Galactic Empire, had the separatists murdered and annihilated the Jedi Order.
Agen Kolar was known for his impulsive nature, often rushing into battle without thinking, preferring to act first and ask questions later. He was also a valued member of the Jedi Council. Windu respected Kolar's combat abilities, which led him to include the Zabrak in the attempt to arrest Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. However, Sidious swiftly defeated both Kolar and Tiin. He was 1.9 meters (6 feet 4 inches) in height.

As a master swordsman within the Jedi Order, Kolar's lightsaber skills were widely celebrated and highly regarded. Kolar was confident in his ability to defeat anyone, but despite his reputation, Darth Sidious killed the Zabrak Jedi with a single strike, similarly dispatching Tiin.
Agen Kolar was originally intended to be the character Eeth Koth in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. However, due to differences between actor Hassani Shapi, who played Koth in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, Kolar was created as a new character and was played by Tux Akindoyeni. Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy – A Graphic Novel shows Kolar speaking lines.
