Star Wars: Legacy: Broken served as the introductory story arc within the Star Wars: Legacy comic book series.
Plot summary
The narrative unfolds in 130 ABY, where Cade Skywalker, a direct descendant of both Luke and Anakin Skywalker, finds himself embroiled in a conflict pitting the Jedi Order against the One Sith. The story takes a tragic turn when Cade's father, Kol Skywalker, meets his demise. In the aftermath, a group of younglings and Padawans manages to escape on a departing shuttle. As the shuttle attempts to flee into space, it is pursued by a group of Predator-class TIE Fighters. Cade, acting swiftly, pilots an assault fighter to draw the squadron away from the vulnerable shuttle. Following the shuttle's destruction, Cade is believed to have perished.
The story jumps ahead seven years, revealing Cade living as a pirate, consciously rejecting his Skywalker heritage and Force abilities. Wolf Sazen, Cade's former mentor, persistently searches for him. Their eventual reunion compels Cade to confront his inherent destiny, both as a Jedi and as the last of the Skywalker lineage.
