Bygone Settlement

The Bygone Settlement, a run-down dwelling, was situated close to Rambler's Reach Valley on the Outer Rim planet Koboh. It served as the home for a band of Jawas who were scavengers.

History

Well before the Galactic Republic first colonized Koboh, earlier inhabitants erected structures of stone and mud directly into the sides of cliffs. This settlement was ultimately deserted, and its buildings are regarded as the most ancient on the entire planet. By 9 BBY, a group of Jawas had taken up residence in the same location and constructed a digger crawler, similar to those found on Tatooine.

Numerous Nekko species and other Koboh fauna also inhabited the Bygone Settlement. This encompassed a number of boglings, an introduced species.

Behind the scenes

The Bygone Settlement made its initial appearance as a playable zone in the 2023 video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, developed by Respawn Entertainment. While it's among the first areas visited in the game, players have the option to follow a rumor and revisit the area to explore it further after gaining more skills through progression. Players could navigate the ancient structures and approach the digger crawler by utilizing movement mechanics acquired later in the game. To finish the rumor, players had to defeat a group of Bedlam Raiders and battle droids in order to rescue the Jawas. Upon achieving victory, the digger crawler's door would unlock, enabling players to converse with a Jawa and invite them to establish a shop at Rambler's Reach Outpost. Subsequently, players could climb onto the digger crawler to unlock a Force Essence, granting them a substantial amount of experience.

Additional collectibles obtainable within the Bygone Settlement encompassed the Geonosian leg and head cosmetic items for BD-1, the Wanderer Jacket and Choppy Forward hair cosmetic items for Cal, five priorite shards, a pair of databank entries, and a trio of seed pods. Furthermore, the blue-finned crayfish, one of the collectable fish, could be acquired here by speaking with Skoova Stev.

The Bygone Settlement also featured a special method for obtaining a priorite shard, which was required to purchase every item at Dendra's Antiquities. At a random probability, a nekko with one of several possible rare colors would appear in the Bygone Settlement. To obtain the priorite shard, players needed to have one of the special nekko spawn, ride it back to Rambler's Reach Outpost, and then stable it. After some time had passed, the priorite shard could be discovered within the nekko's droppings.
