Cell 2188

Cell 2188 was a detention area within a work camp managed by Commodore Visler Korda's Imperial faction located on the planet of Rekkana. Between the years of 4 ABY and 5 ABY, human smuggler Lando Calrissian followed a distress signal that led him to the work camp. Once there, he infiltrated the camp and proceeded to unlock the door to the cell. To his surprise, he discovered the Lepi smuggler Jaxxon inside. Jaxxon, who had been resting on the cell's bed, had been captured by the Galactic Empire after being hired to liberate the Rekk Chancellor Asera. After informing Calrissian that Asera was being held in the adjacent cell, Jaxxon seized Calrissian's X-8 Night Sniper and used it to create an opening in the cell wall. This allowed the two smugglers to force their way through and enter Asera's cell.

Later, Korda's demonstration of the new automated TIE fighter series starfighters, known as the Auto-fighter, was disrupted when the Auto-fighters began firing upon the work camp. The fighters, which had been seized by the Rekk, obliterated the camp, including Cell 2188.
