Cygnus Anton, a member of the avian species, held the position of Chief Regional Auditor within the structure of the Galactic Empire and maintained connections to the criminal organization known as Crimson Dawn. Sometime between the years of 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Anton made a trip to the planet named Calior. During this visit, a hologram that appeared to be Anton accompanied the Imperial forces—stormtroopers—and Crimson Dawn guards on the ground, while the actual Chief Regional Auditor remained safely inside one of their All Terrain Scout Transport vehicles, or "AT-STs." The avian issued a demand to the people of Calior, insisting that they relinquish control of the southern water works to the Empire. Furthermore, Anton stipulated that if the inhabitants of Calior wished to continue utilizing the facility, they would be required to pay a monthly fee of five thousand credits.
As Anton concluded their declaration, a group of warriors identified as the Revengers, whose objective was the eradication of Crimson Dawn, launched an attack against the avian's forces. The Chief Regional Auditor commanded their troops to engage the enemy. However, Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith—who was on a mission to kill every Crimson Dawn member within the Empire's ranks—used his TIE Advanced to obliterate Anton's AT-ST, resulting in the avian's demise.
Chief Regional Auditor Cygnus Anton, a [bureaucrat](/article/bureaucrat] of the avian species serving the Galactic Empire, developed ties with the Crimson Dawn criminal organization, which opposed the Empire. Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Anton journeyed to the world of Calior, located within the Outer Rim Territories. A Lambda-class T-4a shuttle transported a contingent of Imperial stormtroopers and Crimson Dawn guards to the planet, accompanied by a hologram of the avian that mirrored Anton's appearance. The Chief Regional Auditor, considering direct contact with Calior's surface unwise, instead chose to visit the planet aboard one of their two All Terrain Scout Transports. Carrax, a human inhabitant of Calior, questioned the Chief Regional Auditor regarding their identity. As Anton introduced themself, Carrax noticed the avian's Crimson Dawn guards, expressing that the Chief Regional Auditor was supposed to protect Calior from Crimson Dawn.
Subsequently, one of the guards shot Carrax, prompting a villager to voice their disapproval that Anton had executed him before the avian stated what they wanted. Recognizing that Calior's inhabitants were now in a "listening mood" following Carrax's death, the Chief Regional Auditor demanded that they cede control of Calior's southern water works to the Empire, asserting that the water works were Imperial colonial property. Dismissing the locals' claim to the water works, Anton stipulated that if the installation's users wished to continue using it, they had to pay five thousand credits every month.
However, before the avian could continue their address, three warriors—Ankala Sahm, S'ira, and Tanka—who comprised the group known as the Revengers launched an attack against the Chief Regional Auditor's forces. A stormtrooper reminded Anton that they had previously warned them that bringing the Crimson Dawn troops out in the open would result in the Revengers' appearance. The avian explained that was the reason they brought the guards with them, ordering their forces to attack the warriors.
After Sahm burnt Anton's hologram with a flamethrower and told them that they now knew how "it felt," Anton revealed their position, with the avian's AT-ST firing at the Revengers. As the group retreated, a crew of assassins under the command of Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith—who was on a quest to eliminate all members of Crimson Dawn in the Empire's service—struck Anton's forces. Vader fired at the avian's AT-ST with his TIE Advanced, killing Anton, who claimed they could explain in their final moments.
Cygnus Anton's character made its debut in the eighteenth issue of the 2020 comic series titled Star Wars: Darth Vader. This particular issue was penned by Greg Pak, visually brought to life by Leonard Kirk, and released under the banner of Marvel Comics on December 1, 2021.
