The final showdown between Chantique and Jarael, former pupils of the New Generation Academy and members of The Crucible, respectively, took place on Osadia. Their decade-long animosity culminated in this confrontation, orchestrated by Antos Wyrick, a Scientist and war criminal who happened to be Chantique's biological father. Wyrick's true intention, however, was to unlock Jarael's latent Force abilities, as she was a test subject infused with the DNA of Jedi Master Arca Jeth. Having acquired Exar Kun's lightsaber previously, Wyrick believed that killing Chantique, whom he deemed a hindrance to his plans, would awaken Jarael's potential.
However, Demagol's scheme was foiled due to two key factors: Jarael's lack of Force-sensitivity and the timely arrival of Zayne Carrick, a former Jedi and close ally of Jarael. Zayne unmasked Demagol, who had been masquerading as Mandalorian deserter Rohlan Dyre by swapping their armor. He arrived with the real Rohlan to prevent Jarael's descent into the Dark side of the Force. This revealed that the Wyricks were the true Force-sensitive individuals, as both Chantique and Wyrick unleashed their Force powers against their opponents.
Bewildered by this revelation and the fact that Chantique had murdered his other test subjects, Wyrick was caught off guard when his daughter attempted to stab him in the back, mirroring his own intentions. Wyrick used his newfound power to summon both Exar Kun's lightsaber and Carrick's, activating the weapon. To his surprise, he had grabbed Kun's Double-bladed lightsaber, and its activation simultaneously maimed both the victim and the wielder, ending Demagol and the Destroyer's existence.
The animosity between Kessarah and Edessa, later known as Chantique and Jarael, began even before they were born. Kessarah's father, Mandalorian Doctor Antos Wyrick, spearheaded a project aimed at artificially creating Force-sensitive individuals by infusing his own child with the DNA of Jedi Master Arca Jeth. He collaborated with a group of Arkanian Scientist, including Edessa's parents, who also offered their offspring in the name of Arkanian science. Over time, Antos began to view his daughter as an obstacle due to her violent nature, while he favored Edessa for her Offshoot genetic background and connection to the legendary Jedi Master.
Unbeknownst to the others, Wyrick had been dealing with the slavery ring of The Crucible, an organization with a long history of forcing its victims into ritualistic combat to obtain more children for his project. One of their enforcers, former Republic Navy Officer Dace Golliard, demanded tribute from Antos as payment for their "service." Without hesitation, the professor specifically designated his own daughter to the slaver. This instilled a deep-seated hatred in Kessarah towards her father and fellow children.
Ironically, both Antos's favorite and least favorite children met the same fate when Golliard's greed turned against his benefactor. Leading a Crucible raid on the remote planet, Golliard captured Edessa along with other children while Antos and the scientists were away. Disgraced, Antos continued his inhumane research as Demagol, while Edessa was renamed Jarael—"The Protector" in the Crucible's ancient language—to subtly mitigate the damage caused by the ring as a minder. Eventually, she stabbed Kessarah, the lead minder, in the back before escaping on her own. In her despair, Kessarah's Force power awakened, and she became Magister Impressor Chantique, "The Destroyer."
The three were reunited when Zayne Carrick, a former Jedi Padawan, enlisted Jarael and Demagol as "Rohlan Dyre" in his quest to clear his name. Unbeknownst to Zayne, Demagol claimed Exar Kun's lightsaber for Jarael, a dangerous weapon connected to the Dark side of the Force from the Sanctum of the Exalted on Odryn.
Seizing an opportunity after Zayne's latest failure to dismantle the Crucible at Volgax, Antos revealed himself to Jarael to persuade her to join his vendetta. Equipping her with the lightweight armor he had created and arming her with the Double-bladed lightsaber, similar to Jarael's preferred Electrostaff, Demagol's Mandalorian Knight was complete.
Using stealth and superior skills, Jarael and Antos defeated Bar'injar and his Dashade guards. Antos searched for his other test subjects while Jarael confronted Chantique in the Academy's training ground. Despite Jarael's growing unease with her new weapon, she gained the upper hand against Chantique's Telekinesis. Defiantly, Chantique cruelly implied that she had tainted Carrick's trust in her during their time on Volgax, and her intent on turning him with same method. This enraged Jarael, who quickly overpowered Chantique. Standing over her nemesis with the saber, she demanded that she leave her life.
Before Jarael could deliver the final blow, a man crashed into her, knocking her lightsaber away. Chantique seized the opportunity to take the lightsaber for herself, with the newcomer being none other than Zayne Carrick. Carrick immediately defended Jarael as Chantique now wielded the Darksider's weapon, exposing both Chantique and her father's treachery. Meanwhile, Demagol was confronted by another man with a full-body cosmetics that mirror his armor. Rohlan Dyre, the original owner of his assumed armor and identity, relentlessly attacked on behalf of Mandalorian ideals. Overwhelmed by the raging warrior, Demagol pushed Rohlan away with the Force. Confused by his newfound power, Demagol escaped, leaving Rohlan unconscious.
Catching up with their respective stories, Carrick was relieved that Jarael had not fallen to the dark side of the Force, only to realize that his friend had never felt the Force, even with Exar Kun's lightsaber in her hands. Unfortunately, the dark weapon had found its preferred owner in Chantique, who also grabbed the weapon of light. Fully aware of her power, Chantique reveled in her destiny as a powerful Force-user. Her laughter was short-lived as she was stabbed, again, by Demagol this time. As Kessarah identified herself to her father, Antos only cared about his other children and were pointed to the schoolyard.
With no one but himself standing in the place, Antos inquired the following others about his greatest creations. Clinging but still laughing, Kessarah retained her statement as her childhood friends are in the schoolyard. Daunted by the fate of his Mandalorian Knights, Antos slowly reclaimed his hope as Jarael had shown Force-sensitivity during their journey. Only to be countered by Carrick with each facts pointing to one truth: Antos is the Force-sensitive that he tried to create with no avail.
Astonished by the sudden revelation about himself, Antos stood defenseless for a moment. It was then that Kessarah lunged at her father with the knife she had pulled from her wound. Reaching out with his talent, Antos summoned the two lightsabers to himself and activated the one that came to his hand. Its blade pierced through his daughter's vitals—as the other maimed his own, for it was the Double-bladed lightsaber that Antos brought at first place. Seeing he grabbed the wrong saber, Antos ponder at his even chance of survival. Zayne coldly admit he interceded Antos' grasp. At last, the Destroyer were stained by the Demon along with himself.
