Foot Patrol 7, alternatively designated as Unit 7, comprised a sandtrooper patrol squad belonging to a regiment. This regiment received orders from both Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin and the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader. Their mission: to locate two Rebel Alliance droids carrying the stolen Death Star plans on the desert planet of Tatooine. The search efforts of the regiment spanned the Dune Sea, ultimately leading them to Mos Eisley.
While patrolling the city, their commanding officer, Stormtrooper Commander TD-110, intercepted a speeder carrying an old man, a teenager, a protocol droid, and an astromech droid. TD-110 demanded identification and inquired about the duration of droid ownership. Following a conversation with the old man, TD-110 allowed the group to proceed. Subsequently, Commander TD-4445 summoned Foot Patrol 7 to provide reinforcement to other units and their squad during a conflict aimed at preventing the Millennium Falcon from escaping a landing bay nearby. Notable members of Foot Patrol 7 included Sergeant TD-787, TD-7556, Crag, and Tintop.
