Fresia was a planet of the terrestrial type, serving as the homeworld of the Coromon Headhunter. The Clone Wars saw the disappearance of the Galactic Republic senator representing this world, Seti Ashgad. Sometime between 19 BBY and 5 BBY, Saw Gerrera's partisans executed a violent raid on a warehouse belonging to the Incom Corporation located on Fresia, where they stole eight T-65 X-wing starfighters. By 1 BBY, the Alliance to Restore the Republic had made its way to the planet, enlisting the human Fresian native Jaldine Gerams as a pilot.
Fresia was a planet of the terrestrial variety and the original home of the fearsome Coromon Headhunter creature.

Around 61 BBY, Jaldine Gerams, a human was born on Fresia, becoming a native of the planet. She would become a programmer and a computer expert, creating starfighter simulator programs and accumulating countless hours of simulated flight while dreaming of piloting an actual starfighter. During the period of the Clone Wars, Senator Seti Ashgad represented Fresia in the Senate of the Galactic Republic; however, the increasing death threats and assassination attempts against all senators during the war resulted in Ashgad's disappearance.
The starship manufacturer, Incom Corporation, operated a warehouse on Fresia, using it for the storage of T-65 X-wing starfighters. The company also drew inspiration from the Coromon Headhunter's name for the Z-95 Headhunter starfighter it produced in collaboration with Sublights Products Corporation. At some point in time between 19 BBY and 5 BBY, Saw Gerrera, the resistance fighter, recognized the value of X-wing starfighters and proceeded to steal eight of them from the Fresia warehouse during a forceful raid conducted by his partisans. These vehicles were then used to establish the Cavern Angels squadron. By the time 1 BBY arrived, the Alliance to Restore the Republic had arrived on Fresia and encountered Gerams, who eagerly seized the opportunity to join them on the day of their arrival, fulfilling her dream of flying a real starfighter as a rebel pilot.

Within the current Star Wars canon, Fresia's initial mention occurred in the "Incom/SubPro Z-95 Headhunter" article, featured in the "Starship Fact File" section of the De Agostini magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 59, which saw its release around February 17, 2016.
The planet originated within the Star Wars Legends continuity, with its first mention appearing in the 1987 first edition rulebook for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, published by West End Games. The world was first visually represented in the 2003 Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplement, Coruscant and the Core Worlds, published by Wizards of the Coast, and made its initial appearance in the 2006 video game Star Wars: Empire at War, which was developed by Petroglyph and released by LucasArts.
