Gus Lopez


Gus Lopez, a dedicated Star Wars enthusiast for many years, concentrates his collecting efforts on Star Wars memorabilia such as items owned by the cast and crew, movie props, unreleased toy designs, cereal boxes featuring the franchise, and awards related to the saga. Over the years, Gus has authored numerous articles concerning Star Wars collecting for a variety of publications, including Star Wars Insider, Lee's Toy Review, Toy Shop, Star Wars Galaxy Collector, Freakie Magnet, and the programs for Celebration conventions dedicated to Star Wars. Currently, Gus is a regular contributor to Star Wars Insider magazine, where he maintains a column focused on international Star Wars events and collecting.

In 1994, Gus established The Star Wars Collector's Archive, marking it as the very first Star Wars collecting website to appear on the Internet. His website functions as a digital museum, showcasing the rarest and most unique Star Wars collectibles from hundreds of different private collections.

Gus has delivered presentations on the subject of Star Wars collecting at numerous conventions related to toys, science fiction, and Star Wars across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Spain, and Germany. He took charge of organizing the Star Wars collecting programs for Star Wars Celebration, Celebration II, Celebration III, Celebration IV, Celebration V, Celebration Japan, and Celebration Europe.
