JS-1975 was a scout trooper of the male human variety, serving within Moff Gideon's Imperial remnant during the period known as the New Republic Era. In the vicinity of 9 ABY, he stood guard at the gateway to the city of Nevarro alongside a fellow scout trooper, identified as AP-1982, after Gideon's forces had seized control of the settlement. Subsequently, he played a role in the capture of an infant that Gideon sought to possess. Arriving on the outskirts of the city, they awaited clearance to proceed until IG-11 approached, disabling both troopers and taking custody of the Child.
Serving during the New Republic Era as a scout trooper within an Imperial remnant under the command of Moff Gideon, JS-1975 was a male human. In approximately 9 ABY, this trooper was stationed at the entrance to Nevarro's city, together with another scout trooper named AP-1982, following the takeover of the city by Gideon's forces and the displacement of its inhabitants.

At a later time, he observed the arrival of Bounty Hunters' Guild agent Greef Karga entering the city accompanied by Din Djarin in cuffs, Carasynthia Dune, and Grogu's pram. As Gideon and his forces confronted Karga and his allies in front of the city's cantina, JS-1975 and AP-1982 intercepted a communication from Djarin, revealing the Child's actual location. They then mobilized their speeder bikes and pursued him. Upon reaching the Child, they opened fire on the Ugnaught carrying him, as well as his blurrg, resulting in their deaths. Having secured the Child, they began their return journey to the city.

Upon reaching the city's edge, JS-1975 used his comlink to request entry, but was instructed to wait because Gideon had just arrived and had his troops kill some local troopers. Noticing the Child moving in the bag, he immediately hit the infant on the head. AP-1982 questioned Gideon's forces' actions, to which he replied that Gideon always enforced the law when they entered the town.
When the infant began growling, JS-1975 struck the Child again. AP-1982, who was with him, questioned what was inside the sack, to which he replied he did not know and that he didn't care what Gideon planned to do with the infant. AP-1982 then asked if he could see it, but JS-1975 responded by saying that Gideon killed a dozen of his own men to make a point, asking AP-1982 if he understood it.

AP-1982 then pulled out his blaster and began firing at a nearby object out of boredom, but was unable to hit it. JS-1975 was prompted by the action to pull out his own blaster and start firing. In the end, neither of them could hit the object. AP-1982 then asked if they should give the Child some water, but JS-1975 called him out, stating that he only wanted to see the infant. AP-1982 claimed he was able to see it, but he clarified that he barely able to do so as he only picked him up and put him into the sack, and stated that he would not take him out until it was delivered to Gideon. AP-1982 gave in, and the two then waited on their speeders.
JS-1975 used the comlink again, asking for an update on the situation. He was told that Gideon killed an officer for interrupting him and that receiving confirmation would take longer than expected. AP-1982 voiced his concerns over the Child's condition, saying that he had not moved for a while. He then suggested that they should check on the infant's condition. He stated that Gideon would not be happy to find him dead in the sack. JS-1975 finally gave in and opened the sack to reveal the Child. They questioned what the infant was, as AP-1982 poked its forehead. When the Child bit his finger, JS-1975 stated that it served him right.

IG-11 then confronted the two troopers, saying that he was the child's nurse droid. As they pointed their blasters at the droid, they questioned his purpose, as IG droids were usually bounty hunters. As IG-11 got closer to the two, JS-1975 fired a warning shot, telling him to leave. The droid then grabbed his arm and twisted it, breaking his hand and flipping him over. He then incapacitated AP-1982 and took control of the bike holding the sack that contained the Child, making his way to the city. In the end, JS-1975's commanding way of dealing with problems led to his downfall.

JS-1975, a male human, had a great fear of Moff Gideon, explaining his authority to AP-1982 upon learning that the moff had a group of local troopers killed, but became more frustrated as he waited for confirmation to enter the city. He repeatedly punched the Child as he squirmed inside the sack in order to stop him completely, and refused to reveal him to AP-1982 until the former finally gave in. JS-1975 had a commanding way of dealing with issues, which, in the end, led to the scout trooper's defeat.
JS-1975 wore the same armor as other scout troopers as a scout trooper, though it was visibly dirtier. He rode a 74-Z speeder bike and carried a EC-17 hold-out blaster, which were also scout trooper mainstays. JS-1975 also had a sack, which was used to carry the Child on his speeder.

JS-1975 made his debut in "Chapter 7: The Reckoning" of the Disney+ television series The Mandalorian, helmed by Deborah Chow and released on December 18, 2019. Credited as "Biker Scout Trooper #1", the character was portrayed by Jason Sudeikis. Subsequently, the trooper received identification in an update to the 2015 video game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. The designation JS-1975 originates from Jason Sudeikis's initials and his birth year.
