Junn, who styled himself as a "lord", was a human male criminal with extensive connections. He had a past association with Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan (planet), knowing her from when she was a child. In the year 0 ABY, Junn resided on Naboo. There, he discovered Organa's arrival, which was part of her mission aimed at rescuing survivors following the destruction of her homeworld. Aware of Organa's involvement with the Rebel Alliance and fearing potential repercussions for his kind if the Galactic Empire were to be overthrown, Junn hatched a plan to have her killed.
Upon locating the princess, he extended an invitation to Organa and her companions to visit his palace. He then informed them that the Melodic Order, the Alderaanians they were seeking, could be found at Club Deeja in the city of Keren. Junn, who had prior dealings with Mul Sanaka, the club's owner, instructed him to assassinate the princess and her associates. However, Organa successfully overcame the club owner and his henchmen. Subsequently, she returned to Junn and demanded a starship as compensation for his act of betrayal.

The self-proclaimed "Lord" Junn, a criminal with significant connections, maintained a friendship with the House of Organa of the planet Alderaan, including Viceroy Bail Organa and his adopted daughter, Leia Organa. He had known Leia since her childhood, observing her transition into a senator representing her homeworld in the Imperial Senate, following in her father's footsteps. By the time 0 ABY arrived, Junn was living on Naboo, where he occasionally conducted business with Mul Sanaka, the proprietor of Club Deeja located in the city of Keren, who was indebted to Junn.
Following the destruction of Alderaan by the Galactic Empire's Death Star superweapon, Leia Organa embarked on a mission to rescue the remaining Alderaanians throughout the galaxy, fearing their potential persecution by the Empire. Her initial destination was Naboo, where she hoped to find and save the Melodic Order, a group of Alderaanian musicians employed at Club Deeja. Upon reaching Theed, the planet's capital city, she transmitted a signal falsely identifying herself as an Imperial. Junn recognized the signal as a deception, deducing Organa's arrival.

Knowing that Organa was a member of the Rebel Alliance and fearing the consequences for his kind if the Rebellion overthrew the Empire, Junn betrayed her to the Empire. He then proceeded to Theed's spaceport, where he encountered the princess, feigning a chance meeting. Expressing delight that Organa had survived Alderaan's destruction, Junn escorted her group, including pilot Evaan Verlaine and the astromech droid R2-D2, back to his palace. After Organa explained her search for the Melodic Order, Junn saw an opportunity to eliminate her and potentially profit by locating the Order for the Empire.
Promising to assist the princess, Junn contacted Sanaka, warning him of Organa's impending visit to Club Deeja and instructing him to kill the princess and her companions. He then wished Organa well and dispatched her to Keren. Despite Junn's instructions, Organa and her companions successfully defeated Sanaka and his thugs, rescuing the Order. Subsequently, Organa returned to Junn's palace. The lord, drinking alone in the dark, sensed her presence, switched on the light, and found the princess aiming her blaster pistol at him. Anticipating his death, Junn apologized for betraying his old friend and explained his motives. However, Organa chose to spare the traitor's life, instead demanding a starship in exchange. Junn provided her with his shuttle, the Lord Junn, which the princess then used to transport the Order offworld and locate more Alderaanians.

Junn, a human male, possessed black hair, blue eyes, and tan skin. He favored elaborate clothing and valued a comfortable lifestyle to the point where he would betray his close friend Leia Organa to maintain it. While he held no affection for the Imperial regime, he feared the potential consequences for his kind if the Rebel Alliance triumphed in its conflict against the Empire.
To avoid making his opulent residence a target for the Alliance, Junn opted not to kill Organa there. Instead, he sent her to Club Deeja, also hoping to profit by delivering the Melodic Order to the Empire. Upon Organa's return after his betrayal, Junn anticipated his demise but appeared unfazed by his apparent fate.
Junn's first appearance was in the second issue of the 2015 comic miniseries titled Star Wars: Princess Leia. Mark Waid wrote the issue, Terry Dodson provided the illustrations, and Marvel Comics published it on March 18, 2015.
