Biography

Gold Squadron pilot

Lepira attended a briefing in the Great Temple before the Battle of Yavin.

Within the Alliance to Restore the Republic's navy, Lepira, a human, served as a rebel pilot in the Starfighter Corps during the Galactic Civil War. As a part of the Massassi Group, the pilot was a member of Gold Squadron, a squadron of BTL-A4 Y-wing assault starfighter/bombers led by Gold Leader Jon Vander and operating from the rebels' headquarters in the Great Temple on the moon Yavin 4.

In 0 BBY, the Galactic Empire's superweapon, the Death Star, entered the Yavin system intending to obliterate the rebel base. During a meeting held in the temple, Lepira was seated next to Elyhek Rue as General Jan Dodonna explained to the assembled pilots the vulnerability of the Death Star's thermal exhaust port, which they needed to exploit to destroy it. Following the briefing, Lepira joined the other members of Gold Squadron in launching alongside the X-wing starfighters of Red Squadron and Green Squadron.

Battle of Yavin

Lepira flew at the Battle of Yavin.

When the Alliance initiated their assault on the Death Star, Vander divided Gold Squadron, directing pilots Dex Tiree and Davish Krail to accompany him toward the battle station's meridian trench, while Lepira and the remaining four pilots separated from the group and remained behind. Subsequently, Gazdo Woolcob became the first fatality of the squadron. Vander then ordered Lepira and the three surviving pilots to engage the Empire's TIE fighters as he, Tiree, and Krail entered the trench.

Vander and both of his wingmen were killed in the trench, and Lepira and two other squadron members also perished before Red Leader Garven Dreis began his own trench run. Dreis's attempt also failed, but Luke Skywalker, a pilot from Red Squadron, successfully destroyed the Death Star, leaving Lieutenant Evaan Verlaine as the sole survivor of Gold Squadron.

Personality and traits

Lepira possessed light skin, brown eyes, and brown hair.

Equipment

Lepira was equipped with a white flak vest over an orange flight suit.
