Lothalian citizen assistance office

A citizen assistance office existed on the Core Worlds planet of Coruscant; it was under the ownership of Imperial Senator Domus Renking, who represented the Outer Rim world of Lothal. This office was conveniently located near the residences of five hundred Lothalites residing on Coruscant, and it helped these citizens by addressing their grievances and fulfilling their needs, such as aiding in their search for housing, providing general guidance, and navigating the complexities of the Coruscanti bureaucracy.

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, Arihnda Pryce held the position of overseer at this office. Pryce consistently provided support to the Lothalites until she received a promotion to a new office located in the Bartanish Four Sector. The office where Pryce had previously worked was reopened a week later with a new person in charge.

Description

A citizen assistance office stood amidst the expansive cityscape of the Core Worlds planet Coruscant. This particular office was situated in close proximity to the apartments of approximately five hundred Lothalites—individuals originating from the Outer Rim planet of Lothal—many of whom were employed in the Coruscant mines.

Its location was farther from the Federal District when compared to the citizen assistance office found in the Bartanish Four Sector. The assistance offered to the Lothalites encompassed aid in securing housing and gaining familiarity with Coruscant and its complex bureaucracy. Furthermore, the office's personnel attended to the needs and complaints of the Lothalites living nearby, addressing issues such as leaking pipes. When a tenant lodged a complaint, the office overseer would attempt to contact the building owners, encouraging them to rectify the problem.

History

The office was owned by Senator Domus Renking.

During the time of the Galactic Empire, this office was one of several citizen assistance offices on Coruscant owned and operated by Imperial Senator Domus Renking of Lothal. It provided assistance to Lothalites, eventually aiding around five hundred individuals.

On Lothal, Governor Ryder Azadi made accusations against and detained Elainye Pryce in an attempt to seize the Pryce family's mine, where a valuable doonium deposit had been discovered. Elainye's daughter, Arihnda Pryce, then approached Senator Renking. He consented to dropping the charges, but in exchange, the valuable mine was transferred to the Empire. Renking anticipated that Pryce would seek something in return for relinquishing the doonium, and he inquired about her desired compensation. Pryce requested a position on Coruscant as an assistant, and the senator offered her a role in the citizen assistance office. Renking informed Pryce that she would be representing the interests of Lothal citizens on Coruscant, and she accepted the position, relocating to Coruscant to commence work at the office.

While managing the office, Pryce received and acted upon citizens' grievances. One citizen, Daisie, reported a leaking pipe to the office. When the building's management disregarded the issue, Pryce confronted the landlady, Chesna Braker. Although Braker was displeased, she agreed to have the pipe repaired. Concurrently, a government initiative encouraged senators to establish new citizen assistance offices. Consequently, Renking inaugurated a new supplementary citizen assistance office in the neighboring Bartanish Four Sector, catering not only to Lothalites but to all citizens. In recognition of Pryce's effective performance, Renking offered her the position of overseer at the new office, which Pryce accepted. Subsequently, Pryce's former office was reopened the following week with a new person in charge.
