The Nightsisters' Temple, a temple erected millennia prior to the Battle of Endor by the Nightsisters of Dathomir, stood upon the world known as Arcana. Its construction predates the aforementioned battle by thousands of years.
Following the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War and during the time thereafter, the temple had deteriorated into a ruined state.
In 9 ABY, Ahsoka Tano undertook a journey to the Nightsisters' Temple, situated on the planet Arcana. There, she solved a puzzle to obtain the Arcana Star Map. This star map provided the route to the far galaxy where Grand Admiral Thrawn was thought to be in exile. After securing the star map, Tano faced an assault from several HK-87 assassin droids. The activation of the droids' self-destruct sequences resulted in the destruction of the temple's remaining structures through fire.
The Nightsisters' Temple made its debut appearance in "Part One: Master and Apprentice," the initial episode of the live-action Disney+ series Ahsoka, which premiered on August 22, 2023. However, the stronghold's identity remained unconfirmed until its dedicated Databank entry was published.
Subsequently, Frances Lebar, the series' art director, shared numerous production photographs showcasing the set design, enabling viewers to decipher the runes inscribed around the temple.
