Pebimarus Xorn

Pebimarus Xorn, a male human, functioned as an advisor for Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine during the Galactic Civil War. Utterly devoted to the Emperor, Xorn accompanied Palpatine onto the DS-2 Death Star II Mobile Battle Station positioned above Endor's moon in 4 ABY. When the Alliance to Restore the Republic destroyed the battle station, Xorn met his end.

Biography

During the era of the Galactic Empire's rule, Pebimarus Xorn, a male human, worked as an advisor to Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine. The Emperor's advisers, originating from the bureaucracy that enacted the Emperor's desires, held significant influence within the galaxy. In 4 ABY, when Palpatine journeyed to the DS-2 Death Star II Mobile Battle Station battle station to meet his apprentice Darth Vader, the advisor was among the six who went with him.

On the voyage to the second Death Star, Janus Greejatus suggested that droid labor could be used as a replacement for aliens if aliens were forcibly removed from the Core Worlds and the Colonies. Xorn countered that while droids were well-suited for agriworlds, their advantages were less clear in other sectors, adding that their role was to "sort the wheat from the chaff." Sim Aloo, certain that Xorn was using a datapad, snorted, prompting a look of mild interest from Xorn. After Sate Pestage sarcastically asked if Aloo wished to join the discussion, Aloo stated that in his home world, the saying was "kernels from the husks" rather than "wheat from the chaff."

The group arrived at one of the station's hangars via a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle while it was still under construction in orbit above Endor's moon. Vader and Moff Tiaan Jerjerrod were in the hangar awaiting their arrival, along with a large contingent of Imperial personnel. Upon exiting the shuttle, Palpatine and Vader led the advisors and a group of Imperial officers past the other personnel, with Xorn walking alongside Janus Greejatus as he spoke to an officer at the rear of the group.

The six advisors remained on the Death Star as dignitaries and attendants, ready to serve Palpatine's needs. Shortly after their arrival, the Alliance to Restore the Republic attacked the Death Star as part of a trap set by the Emperor; however, Palpatine was ultimately killed during the battle. Xorn and his five colleagues then perished when the station was destroyed.

Personality and traits

Xorn was a gaunt human male with pale skin, bony fingers, and a nasal voice. He was, like all of Palpatine's advisors, completely subservient to the Emperor.

Equipment

Xorn was attired in purple robes featuring red trim and lining. His attire also encompassed a hat that shared an identical design, save for the trim's color, with that of his fellow advisor Janus Greejatus, whose hat originated from the planet Coruscant.

Behind the scenes

Pebimarus Xorn originated in the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, although he was mentioned before the film in Star Wars Legends novelization penned by James Kahn. His name was not revealed until the 2023 short story "Kernels and Husks" by Jason Fry, who stated that he intended the advisors in purple and black robes in Return of the Jedi to be Sate Pestage and Xorn, respectively.
