Plesko Marno

Plesko Marno was a male of the Ozrelanso species, and he held a clerical position at the Bureau of Ships and Services within the structure of the New Republic. After the devastating Hosnian Cataclysm, Marno made his escape, carrying with him a collection of navigational information he had illicitly acquired throughout his years of employment at the agency. He then transitioned into the role of a navigator, leveraging the pilfered data to achieve faster travel durations; in 35 ABY, he found himself in the Spice Runners' Den located on the planet Kijimi not long before the world's destruction.

Biography

An Ozrelanso male, Plesko Marno was employed as a clerk by the Bureau of Ships and Services of the New Republic. When the Hosnian Cataclysm resulted in the destruction of both the New Republic Senate and the fleet in 34 ABY, Marno fled the devastation, taking with him a set of navigational data that he had been stealing over the years.

This data included privileged information, such as optimized routes and shortcuts, that were typically reserved for the exclusive use of government or corporate transport operations. Retaining possession of this data, Marno started working as a freelance navigator who could reliably reduce travel times for his clients.

Marno spent time in the Spice Runners' Den on Kijimi.

In the year 35 ABY, Marno resided in Kijimi City on the planet Kijimi, during the First Order's occupation of the world. He frequented the Spice Runners' Den, and was leaning against the bar when Zorii Bliss, a Spice Runner, led a group of Resistance operatives through the establishment. Marno observed Finn and C-3PO, two of the Resistance members, as they walked by. Shortly after this encounter, the First Order withdrew its forces from Kijimi, preceding the Sith Eternal's destruction of the planet.

Behind the scenes

Wizard 37 by Martin Rezard

Plesko Marno's character was conceived for the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker from the sequel trilogy. His identification occurred simultaneously in both Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book authored by Pablo Hidalgo, and a card within the 2019 Topps Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Series 1 trading card collection by The Topps Company, Inc.. Martin Rezard, a creature concept designer and senior sculptor, created concept art for the film depicting a less armored version of Marno, which was titled "Wizard 37".
