Official Synopsis

Storyline

Terex persists in his questioning of Dameron, but Dameron remains steadfast in withholding the information. Above, Black Squadron attempts to flee as TIE fighters open fire. They descend into the canyons below.

Below ground, the egg hatches, emitting a brilliant white light. A winged creature emerges. Instead of heeding the Crèche elder's plea for rescue, it strikes her with its wing. Dameron feigns an attempt to strike Terex, but instead seizes his blaster.

Within the canyons, Jessika Pava manages to destroy some TIE fighters by causing an arch to collapse upon them. However, her fighter sustains damage from two other TIE fighters. Wexley commands Black Squadron to retreat from the canyons.

Underground, stormtroopers fire upon the creature, but their attacks prove ineffective. It reaches down to consume the elder, but is stopped by a darker member of its species. As the two creatures engage in a struggle, Terex disarms Dameron and realizes that the Crèche possesses information Dameron seeks. The two creatures increase in size, shattering the rock ceiling and causing debris to fall, crushing the stormtroopers. While Terex is preoccupied, BB-8 delivers an electric shock to him.

The creatures interrupt the ongoing battle between Black Squadron and the TIE fighters. Black Squadron then flies down through the newly created hole. The darker creature unleashes a beam of red energy, fatally striking the lighter creature.

The Crèche confiscates the blasters and forces Terex and the remaining stormtroopers to surrender. The elder comes to the understanding that the surviving creature is the true savior, and it departs with the Crèche on its back. Black Squadron departs, summoning the First Order cruiser to retrieve Terex as they leave. The squadron proceeds to follow their next clue regarding Lor San Tekka.
