Quence existed as a celestial body suitable for astronomical observation. In the year 229 BBY, the piratical Tanana Keem and her associated personnel formulated a strategy to conduct a robbery upon Quence. Due to the inherent risks of the operation, Keem opted to leave her offspring, Zyle Keem, behind. Subsequently, the crew successfully pilfered a consignment of rejuve while present on the celestial object, later journeying to the Outer Rim world Valo to reunite with Zyle.

In 229 BBY, a shipment of the rejuve restorative substance was scheduled for delivery to the terrestrial astronomical body known as Quence. The Nihil raiders' fighting with the Galactic Republic had caused the price of rejuve to increase significantly throughout the galaxy, which led the pirate Tanana Keem and her crew to plan a theft of the shipment. Before embarking on the theft, Keem left her child, Zyle Keem, on the Nihil leader I'nah's ship, although Zyle protested and wanted to join the raid, hoping to jump on a hovertrain. However, Zyle eventually agreed to gather information on the Nihil for their parent, expressing disappointment that Tanana considered the Quence operation too perilous for them. Tanana then instructed her crew to remain united during the Quence heist, aiming to avoid a repeat of the pirates' situation on the Outer Rim world Ryloth.
Following this, Tanana and her crew departed the Nihil ship in their own starships—the Venomed Scabbard and the Grim Devourer II—and engaged hyperspace to get to Quence. The crew then regrouped after exiting hyperspace and began the raid, during which crew member Therm Scissorpunch lost a appendage. The group successfully stole the rejuve shipment they were after, and also took some additional cargo when they left the astronomical object. After the heist, Tanana contacted Zyle and told them about the raid's success, despite the parent's disappointment that her child had left the Nihil ship and traveled to the Outer Rim planet Valo. After the crew met Zyle on Valo, Tanana told her child about their experience on Quence to inform her child about how it had gone.
Within the established Star Wars lore, Quence received a mention in Escape from Valo, a 2024 young adult novel authored by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as a component of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase III.
