During the Cold War era, a time of tension between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, lived a Human male named Saphrro. Around 3643 BBY, amidst the Separatist War, he became enmeshed with the Mantellian Separatist Movement, an organization striving to depose the Republic-supported government ruling the planet of Ord Mantell. In that year, Saphrro took up arms against Republic forces, acting as the commander of a cell located on Avilatan island. While serving as commander, he convened a meeting at the Separatist base on Mannett Point, a small island near Avilatan, with fellow Separatist cell commanders Bol and Vyru to coordinate troop movements. Unbeknownst to them, a fresh sergeant from the elite Republic Special Forces unit Havoc Squad infiltrated the base during this meeting. This sergeant killed Saphrro and the other commanders, seizing crucial intelligence regarding their forces.
Saphrro, a male of the Human species, existed during the period known as the Cold War, a time of unease between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Concurrent with this larger conflict, Saphrro involved himself with a Separatist Movement dedicated to overthrowing the Republic-backed government on the planet of Ord Mantell, a struggle known as the Separatist War. He eventually achieved the rank of commander, leading one of the Separatist cells against the Republic's armed forces on the island of Avilatan by 3643 BBY. That year, Saphrro arranged a meeting with two other Separatist cell commanders at a Separatist base situated on Mannett Point, a small island just off the coast of Avilatan. At that location, he and the other commanders, Bol and Vyru, engaged in discussions concerning the coordination of their operations and the transfer of troops among the island's various cells. By this point, Saphrro had established a reputation among the Separatists and was regarded by an officer named Dalern as one of their most esteemed figures. In light of his and the other commanders' significance, security at the base was heightened, and a force field generator was deployed to safeguard the meeting area.

While Saphrro and his fellow commanders were in conference at the base, two members of the Republic Special Forces unit Havoc Squad—Captain Zora and a newly inducted sergeant—infiltrated the heavily fortified base in pursuit of a ZR-57 orbital strike bomb recently pilfered by the Separatists. Upon deactivating the force field and discovering that the bomb was not stored there, the two soldiers interrogated Dalern, learning that Saphrro and the other Separatist cell commanders were the reason for the increased security measures. Lieutenant Aric Jorgan of Ord Mantell Infantry Command instructed the sergeant to acquire the commanders' data on Separatist troop strength and cell locations, and to eliminate them as priority targets. Bol and Vyru noticed the sergeant's arrival, and Bol told Saphrro to purge all their data from their computer. Saphrro objected, stating that they were only facing one trooper and urged the other two commanders to fight back. Despite this, Saphrro and the other two commanders were killed, and the sergeant successfully obtained their data because Saphrro had failed to erase it.
Saphrro was a powerfully built man with tan skin and brown eyes. At the time he died, his brown hair was styled in two stripes running from his forehead to the back of his head, flanked by thinner stripes on each side. As a cell commander, Saphrro possessed extensive knowledge of the Separatist cell's troop numbers and location on Avilatan. Officer Dalern considered him a great hero of the Separatist cause, and he held a position of sufficient importance to be involved in coordinating personnel transfers and operations with other cell commanders. He was familiar enough with computers that Bol directed him to delete the data when confronted by the Republic sergeant. He was also skilled enough with a blaster pistol to use it in combat against the sergeant.
During his tenure as a Separatist cell commander, Saphrro wore red-and-gray armor and employed a personal energy shield that generated a spherical blue energy field when active. He also carried a blaster pistol.
Saphrro makes his first appearance in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a 2011 MMORPG developed by BioWare. He is featured in "Mannett Point," an early quest on Ord Mantell for players choosing the Trooper class. The quest culminates in the player killing Saphrro, along with Bol and Vyru, the other Separatist cell commanders at Mannett Point. After eliminating the commanders, the player is tasked with recovering their data on the Separatist cells and forces on Avilatan. Saphrro's line of dialogue urging his fellow commanders to kill the player changes depending on whether the player character is male or female.
