Sorc Tormo, an Umbaran male crime lord, controlled the Haxion Brood criminal enterprise during the age of the Galactic Empire. In the year 14 BBY, Tormo arranged for the capture of Cal Kestis, a former Jedi Padawan, by a bounty hunter. He then forced Kestis to participate in combat within his arena because of Greez Dritus, his companion, racking up a significant gambling debt to the Brood.
Sorc Tormo, a male crime boss from Umbaran, held the position of leader within the Haxion Brood. He rose to power as a regional leader after the Galactic Empire incarcerated his predecessor.
In 14 BBY, Tormo orchestrated the abduction and imprisonment of Cal Kestis, the ex-Jedi Padawan, on Ordo Eris. A bounty hunter working for the Haxion Brood carried out the task at the Brood's space station headquarters. This was a direct consequence of the large gambling debts that Greez Dritus, the pilot, had accumulated with the syndicate. Kestis managed to escape his confinement, which Tormo had foreseen, leading him to the Haxion Fight Pit. Tormo then provided Kestis with his lightsaber and made him fight several creatures in the arena, before sending the bounty hunter who had captured him.
After Kestis triumphed over the bounty hunter, Dritus and Cere Junda found the Jedi, crashing into the arena and extracting him aboard the Stinger Mantis. As Kestis fled Ordo Eris, Tormo issued a threat to pursue him across the galaxy using the Haxion Brood. Bounty hunters from the Brood, under the orders of the crime boss, persistently attempted to capture Kestis throughout his journey.
In 9 BBY, Tormo located Kestis and dispatched a number of bounty hunters with the intention of eliminating him, but Kestis was successful in defeating them all. Caij Vanda, an associate of Tormo, targeted Cal in order to claim the increasing bounty, which grew larger with each successful takedown. Caij admitted that she had informed the Brood of his presence on Koboh and attempted to capture Kestis to collect the enhanced bounty, planning to use it to pay off her debts. However, following a confrontation, Caij was apprehended by Boba Fett, who had been tracking Caij for her own bounty.
Sorc Tormo was known for being greedy and without mercy, placing a strong emphasis on money and showing little concern for anything else. As a commentator during the Haxion Fight Pit battles, the crime boss displayed a sense of humor. Tormo's spending on his schemes was excessive, but he ultimately managed to generate a significant profit. He found pleasure in watching the fights in his fight club on Ordo Eris where he took pride in his collection of dangerous creatures, collected from across the galaxy.
Sorc Tormo possessed cybernetics attached to his torso. He wore a helmet, a jacket, and two rings on his left hand.
Sorc Tormo made his debut in the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, released in 2019. The game was developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. Luke Cook provided the voice for the character. Theo Stylianides, an artist, created the concept art for Sorc Tormo.
