Star Wars Monthly

Star Wars Monthly represented the fourth iteration of the Star Wars comic book series published by Marvel UK. It directly succeeded The Empire Strikes Back Monthly in both its sequential issue numbering and the content it featured, beginning with issue #159.

This series was known for reprinting stories that had initially appeared in the American Star Wars series by Marvel Comics. Additionally, it included some original stories. Starting with issue #167, the magazine also started to reprint Marvel US' adaptation of another Lucasfilm title, Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Issue #171 was the last one published. Although its cover indicated a July 1983 release, it likely hit shelves in early June of that year. Later in June, Marvel UK released the first issue (with a cover date of June 22, 1983) of a new publication titled Return of the Jedi Weekly.
