Tales from Wild Space: The comic book story "Family Affair, Part 2," which centers on Lando Calrissian, was released as the second story in Star Wars Adventures (2017) 11 on June 6, 2018.
Emil Graf was on the Star Herald in Wild Space, and he asked CR-8R, who he called "Crater", to remind him where he was in the tale he was telling Emil regarding Lando Calrissian.
Clariah's son, Jiandy, had stolen a brooch belonging to crime lord Askroh; to escape Askroh, he fled on a speeder with Lando clinging on. Throughout the streets of Cloud City, Askroh pursued them. While other speeders working for Askroh gave chase, Jinaby managed to eliminate one by dropping a crate directly in its path. As they approached Figg's Avenue, Askroh began shooting at them. Subsequently, another speeder obstructed their path, resulting in Jiandy crashing the speeder onto a landing pad.
After Jiandy's smart mouth, Askroh approached Lando and pressed a Blaster pistol against him. Askroh offered to release them both if Jiandy would return the brooch. Jiandy attempted to reason with him, but Lando advised him to remain silent, emphasizing the importance of knowing when to shut up. One of Askroh's gang members then informed him that they couldn't find the brooch. Enraged, Askroh commanded that Lando and Jiandy be thrown off the platform. As Jiandy pleaded for Lando's help, Lando retorted that this was the situation he had created. However, just before they were about to be thrown to their deaths, Lando intervened. He betrayed the kid and revealed to Askroh that the brooch was concealed in a secret compartment within Jiandy's belt. Lando imparted to Jiandy the ultimate lesson: betray your partners when a deal goes sour. Despite Jiandy's pleas for forgiveness, Askroh had him taken away and then departed. Lando expressed his gratitude to Askroh for assisting in teaching the boy a lesson.
Clariah met with Lando at a restaurant and thanked him for his help with her son, noting that he was now behaving better. Clariah remarked that if children like Jiandy don't change, there will be more like Askroh. She returned his cape and expressed her satisfaction that she had taken the chance with him.
Back on the Star Herald, Crater finished his story and Emil Graf showed "Boo" that there was more to a story then just the good parts. He went on to say that Lando and Jiandy's paths would cross again, but Jiandy would find a new family in the Rebel Alliance.
