The Taylander shuttle, a civilian transport shuttle design, was produced by Gallofree Yards, Inc. and could be encountered across the galaxy. Early rebel groups and the Alliance to Restore the Republic utilized it as a ship for covert operations.
During the era of the Clone Wars, a shuttle of this model was employed to deploy infiltrator demolition droids to the world of Coruscant.
Taylander shuttles were a common sight throughout the galaxy, blending into the background whether in the busy cargo lanes of Coruscant or the docking bays of Tatooine.
During the Battle of Garel, three Taylander shuttles were operated by Phoenix Cell amid the conflict between Phoenix Squadron and the forces of the Galactic Empire above Garel. One such shuttle, named the Chandrila Mistress, served to convey the fugitive senator Mon Mothma to a designated meeting point with the Spectres. However, they were ambushed by Imperial forces, resulting in the destruction of the Chandrila Mistress.
Following the Rebel Alliance's capture of the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer known as the Harbinger, Admiral Verette and a group of Rebel troopers made their escape aboard a Taylander shuttle. They were pursued relentlessly by SCAR Squadron, who ultimately shot down the shuttle in the vicinity of the Ghost Moon. After capturing Verette, SCAR Squadron subjected him to a gruesome display, strapping him to the front of the downed shuttle and dispatching it towards the Rebel rendezvous point as a macabre diversion. Sana Starros subsequently detonated the shuttle.
After the mission to Ktath'atn, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa embarked on a mission using a shuttle. During this mission, Skywalker piloted the shuttle into a nebula to evade Imperial pursuit. However, the nebula caused the ship to malfunction, leading to a crash on an unknown planet, where they remained stranded for three weeks. They managed to repair the shuttle and rejoin the Alliance Fleet after destroying an AT-AT by using traps they had set up.
Years later, a stripped-down Taylander shuttle could be found at Niima Outpost on the planet Jakku.
