The Weapon

In an effort to investigate warlord Guattako's employment of a child army on Oosalon, and the Hutts' financial backing of it, Jedi Master Mace Windu journeyed there. Following his capture by Guattako's forces, he was escorted to the warlord's hidden location by a Kyuzo named Kyossk alongside a teenager named Quia. Upon confronting Guattako, Windu ordered him to cease his operations, offering him the opportunity to yield. When Guattako refused to surrender, Windu utilized the Force using to repair his shattered lightsaber and telekinetically summoned it to his hand, inadvertently severing Kyossk's hand in the process, which prompted Guattako to order an attack on Windu. After deflecting incoming blaster fire, Quia also began shooting at Windu. Guattako then engaged Windu in close combat, striking him with his axe, which stunned him for a brief moment. Before Guattako could strike again, a terrified Pantoran youngling shot Guattako in the chest, resulting in his death. Subsequently, Jedi Masters Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Depa Billaba, and Qui-Gon Jinn, who Windu had summoned via the Force, arrived at the scene. Windu then hologramed Grand Master Yoda, who informed him that Quia would be handed over to local authorities for prison, leading Windu to question whether they had truly saved everyone.
