Titan Three (Var-Shaa)

During the Galactic Civil War, the TIE fighter pilot known by the callsign Titan Three was a member of the Galactic Empire, specifically within Titan Squadron under the leadership of Titan Leader Varko Grey. Sometime after the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Titan Squadron, operating from the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Overseer](/article/overseer_(imperial-class)), defended the Imperial dockyard located on the planet Var-Shaa. This defense occurred during a surprise attack launched by the New Republic.

The Imperial defense of the dockyard proved unsuccessful, with the space station falling to New Republic fire. With the loss of the station, Terisa Kerrill, the squadron's commanding officer, instructed Grey to initiate a retreat. As the other members of the squadron made their way back to the Overseer, Titan Three found themselves trapped by pursuing enemy starfighters. Despite Kerrill's insistence that the Overseer must leave, Grey chose to turn back and assist Titan Three, eliminating the RZ-1 A-wing interceptors that were pursuing them. As Titan Three and Grey headed for the Overseer, a New Republic pilot shot down Titan Three's TIE/sa bomber, resulting in their death. Following the Battle of Var-Shaa, Titan Three's callsign was reassigned to a new pilot brought into the squadron by Kerrill.

The pilot known as Titan Three was a human, and they expressed gratitude to Grey for saving them during the battle at Var-Shaa, as they had believed their survival was unlikely.

During the New Republic attack on the Var-Shaa dockyard, this pilot operated a TIE/sa bomber.

Titan Three made an appearance in the short film "Hunted," which was released on September 14, 2020, as a promotional piece for the upcoming video game Star Wars: Squadrons. In Star Wars: Squadrons, the Imperial player character assumes the callsign of Titan Three.
