A Dalnan person held the position of governor on the Outer Rim planet Dalna during the High Republic Era; this individual was also a part of the planet's government. The Honesty Weft of the Dalnans stated that the governor had previously navigated situations involving the Nihil pirates. In 232 BBY, following the capture of two members of the Nihil on the moon Wevo, Weft dispatched a communication to Saludad, the Dalnan capital city. Weft reasoned that the governor's prior experience with the Nihil would enable them to assist him and others who were marooned with him on the moon. In 230 BBY, Sachary Jeffington, a human female, was chosen to be the president of Dalna.
The Dalnan governor was referenced within The High Republic: A Test of Courage, a junior novel from 2021. Justina Ireland authored this novel, which was released as a component of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic initiative spanning multiple media formats.
