Unidentified Imperial officer (Darth Vader's Venator-class Star Destroyer)

A human officer serving the Galactic Empire was assigned to Darth Vader's, a Sith Lord, Venator-class Star Destroyer. This officer received orders to repair Vader's TIE fighter after it sustained damage. However, the officer and the repair crew were unable to fix the fighter, ultimately leading to the officer's demise at the hands of Vader.

Biography

During the Imperial Era, sometime between 19 BBY and 14 BBY, a human individual held the rank of officer within the structure of the Galactic Empire. This individual was stationed on Darth Vader's Venator-class Star Destroyer and was given the responsibility by the Sith Lord to repair his damaged personal TIE Advanced starfighter. The officer, along with a team of technicians, attempted to fix the damaged vessel, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.

The officer was pulled from Darth Vader's meditation chamber by a MSE-6 series repair droid.

Upon informing Vader of the issue and their inability to repair the TIE fighter, the Sith Lord used the Force to choke the officer to death. This action stemmed from Vader's displeasure with the officer's perceived lack of resolve, which was compounded by the recent failures of two other subordinates: Admiral Mummert and a general. An MSE-6 series repair droid, which had previously been preparing Vader's meditation chamber, swiftly removed the officer's lifeless body from the room and cleaned the blood from the floor. The droid later suffered a similar fate when it accidentally collided with Vader's prosthetic left leg.

Personality and traits

The Imperial officer exhibited signs of nervousness in the presence of and when speaking with Darth Vader, who considered him to be someone who gave up too easily. The officer had fair skin and gray hair.

Equipment

As a member of the Imperial Officer Corps, the officer wore a standard black Imperial uniform, an Imperial kepi, and a black belt, all of which featured an officer's disk on the front. The Imperial's tunic had two code cylinders in small pockets near the shoulders and a rank insignia plaque with three tiles.

Behind the scenes

The Imperial officer made his debut in "No Good Deed...," a mini-comic created by Chris Eliopoulos as both writer and illustrator. This mini-comic was included with the first issue of the 2017 Star Wars: Darth Vader comic book series, released by Marvel Comics on June 7, 2017.
