A faction operated in the vicinity of the Core Worlds planet of Hosnian Prime during the High Republic Era. Around 235 BBY, this faction sought to influence Ghirra Starros, the Republic junior senator from Hosnian Prime, to advocate for stricter trade regulations within the Galactic Senate. To achieve this, the faction abducted Ghirra's daughter, Avon, after she secretly left the family's home. During Avon's time as a prisoner, she was compelled to record messages on a holorecorder so the faction could issue a ransom demand. Ultimately, Avon's uncles rescued her and killed the individuals who had kidnapped her.
In 232 BBY, Avon recounted the story of her abduction by this faction to Honesty Weft, a Dalnan boy she encountered on Wevo, a moon situated in the Outer Rim. Two years subsequently, following her kidnapping by the Nihil pirates, Avon found herself among a group of other children who had also been abducted. She then drew a mental parallel between being forced to speak into the holorecorder by the local faction and being abandoned with other children by the Nihil.
The first mention of this local faction occurs in the 2021 middle grade novel The High Republic: A Test of Courage, penned by Justina Ireland and released as a component of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia initiative.
