The short story "We Don't Serve Their Kind Here" can be found within the anthology From a Certain Point of View. This narrative, penned by Chuck Wendig, presents the perspective of Wuher, who is the bartender working at Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina.
While [Wuher](/article/wuher], the bartender, is on his shift at Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, the droid detector malfunctions. He observes C-3PO and R2-D2 entering the establishment, accompanied by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker. Wuher is anticipating the arrival of Bims Torka, a spacer who was scheduled to deliver a shipment of Knockback Nectar from Jakku the previous day. As Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes perform their music, Wuher manages the bar. Furthermore, Wuher is present when Han Solo, a smuggler, walks into the cantina with Chewbacca, his Wookiee co-pilot. Wuher is aware of Solo's debt to Jabba Desilijic Tiure. Soon after, Greedo, a Rodian bounty hunter, comes into the cantina.
Wuher then attends to a customer known as "Roofoo" and his Aqualish companion "Sawkee," who are attempting to obtain drinks without paying. Wuher asserts himself, and Roofoo ultimately orders a couple of black fizzers for himself and his friend. Later on, Jerriko, a smoker, informs him that the two patrons are actually Cornelius Evazan, a fugitive surgeon, and his associate Ponda Baba. Jerriko volunteers to eliminate Evazan, but Wuher wishes to avoid any disruptions. While serving Kabe, a Chadra-Fan patron, Wuher comes to the realization that he possesses nothing beyond the bar and its clientele.
Returning to the present moment, Wuher expresses his displeasure to Skywalker, stating that his "droids" are not welcome in his cantina. As the droids depart, Wuher reflects on the loss of his parents to battle droids during the Clone Wars on Arkax Station, an event that instilled in him a hatred for droids. After providing Skywalker with a beverage, Wuher observes Ponda Baba and Evazan harassing Skywalker. Kenobi attempts to de-escalate the situation, but Evazan assaults Skywalker. In response, Kenobi severs Ponda Baba's arm and injures Evazan in the chest.
When stormtroopers arrive due to the altercation, Wuher considers reporting the incident but decides against it, as the Jedi had previously rescued him from an entire battalion of battle droids. Wuher is also there when Solo fatally shoots Greedo. As he reflects on his past and the day's occurrences, Wuher contemplates the possibility of altering his fate.
