White Loth-cat

The white Loth-cat served as a guide for the Jedi Padawan Ezra Bridger on three separate occasions when he made his way back to his home planet of Lothal. During the first instance, Ezra was in search of a prisoner by the name of Ryder Azadi, who possessed knowledge about his parents, Ephraim and Mira Bridger. In the second instance, this white Loth-cat aided him and Sabine Wren in concealing a hyperdrive unit that had been taken from a destroyed TIE/D Defender Elite. Furthermore, the Loth-cat was responsible for introducing Ezra to the white Loth-wolf, who then transported both him and Sabine back to their fellow rebels. On the third occasion, the white Loth-cat provided assistance to Ezra and Garazeb Orrelios in locating the stolen hyperdrive unit.

Biography

Ezra's visions

Back in 3 BBY, the Lothalite rebel Ezra Bridger was asleep on board the starship Ghost when he experienced a Force vision featuring the white Loth-cat, as well as his parents Ephraim and Mira Bridger. Ezra later had a discussion about this particular vision with his Jedi master, Kanan Jarrus, and the leader, Hera Syndulla. While concentrating on a roster of prisoners who had escaped from an Imperial prison, Ezra experienced another vision of the white Loth-cat along with a helmeted figure known as Prisoner X-10, who was later revealed to be Ryder Azadi.

Following their escape from the Imperial assault on Garel, Ezra and his master, Kanan Jarrus, journeyed to Lothal with the intention of finding Prisoner X-10, with the hope that he could provide information regarding the whereabouts of Ezra's parents. Upon arriving in Capital City, Ezra came across the white Loth-cat that he had previously seen in his vision. As he got closer to the creature, it displayed hostility and led him on a chase. Even though the Loth-cat was able to get away on a speeder bike, Ezra successfully placed a tracker on the bike. This ultimately led them to the adobe of the fugitive Ryder Azadi, who formerly served as the Governor of Lothal and had been imprisoned for defending Ezra's parents. Ryder informed Ezra that his parents had lost their lives during an attempt to escape from an Imperial prison.

Return to Lothal

The white Loth-cat in a mural of the Spectres

In 1 BBY, Ezra, along with his fellow Spectres, made their way back to Lothal with the goal of resisting the Imperial occupation and eliminating Grand Admiral Thrawn's TIE/d "Defender" Multi-Role Starfighter factory. After Ezra and the Mandalorian rebel Sabine Wren managed to steal a prototype TIE/D Defender Elite and subsequently crashed it in the wilderness of Lothal, the white Loth-cat made another appearance and guided him to a secluded alcove. Within this alcove, Ezra and Sabine concealed a hyperdrive that they had taken from the wrecked TIE Defender Elite. Later that night, the white Loth-cat showed up on top of a white Loth-wolf, which had come to assist the lost Ezra and Sabine. This white Loth-wolf was instrumental in helping Ezra and Sabine find their rebel comrades.

On the following day, the white Loth-cat materialized on top of the alcove while Ezra and his rebel companions, Jai Kell and Garazeb Orrelios, were in the midst of searching for the stolen hyperdrive unit from the TIE/D Defender Elite. Ezra, along with a skeptical Zeb, followed the Loth-cat, which led them to discover the hyperdrive unit hidden beneath a rock. The stolen hyperdrive unit made it possible for General Syndulla to return to Yavin 4 aboard Ryder's UT-60D U-wing starfighter/support craft, carrying with her the flight data recorder from the stolen TIE Defender Elite.

At some point after the Battle of Endor, Ezra's friend, Sabine Wren, was riding her speeder bike when she passed by a creature that resembled the white Loth-cat, which was seen stalking through the grass. A group of Loth-wolves, which included the white Loth-wolf, also ran past. Following this, she met up with Ahsoka Tano and they set off on a mission to locate Ezra and bring him back home.

Personality and traits

The white Loth-cat served as a guide for Ezra Bridger.

The white Loth-cat was characterized by its white fur, blue eyes, triangular ears, and a tail. It possessed a unique connection to the Force, which allowed it to appear in Ezra's Force visions. While the Loth-cat initially exhibited skittish behavior around Ezra, it seemed to be familiar with Ryder and was even seen riding on his speeder bike. Later on, the white Loth-cat played a role in helping Ezra conceal a stolen hyperdrive unit from the TIE/D Defender Elite, and it also introduced him to the white Loth-wolf, another creature that had a strong connection to the Force on Lothal. Subsequently, the white Loth-cat assisted Ezra and his rebel comrades in recovering the hyperdrive from the TIE/D Defender Elite, which ultimately enabled them to provide the Rebel Alliance with valuable intelligence regarding Thrawn's TIE/D Defender program.
