WLO-5 speeder tank
The WLO-5 speeder tank, alternatively known as the WLO-5 battle tank or the WLO-5 Light Speeder Tank, represented a type of speeder tank favored by the Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka and his pirate crew during the era of the Clone Wars. These tanks were frequently encountered in the galaxy's more lawless regions, where criminal elements employed them to safeguard their territories from rival factions and to assault less formidable targets.
Characteristics

The WLO-5 battle tank, also known as the WLO-5 speeder tank, was a repulsorlift tank that was produced by Ubrikkian Ord Pedrovia. Its dimensions included a length of 11.47 meters, and it could achieve a maximum velocity of 110 kilometers per hour. Propulsion was achieved via twin turbine engines situated at the vehicle's rear. It featured armor plating, repulsor cooling vents positioned at the front, and a pair of steering vanes, one on each side.
Its offensive capabilities included two forward-facing anti-personnel blasters and a laser cannon mounted on top, which required a single gunner to operate. The tank's interior provided sufficient space for both pilots and additional troops.
Role
The WLO-5 battle tanks were commonly seen operating in the more unregulated sectors of the galaxy, where they were often employed by criminals and pirates to defend their bases from competing groups and other threats.
History

During the Clone Wars, Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka and his Ohnaka Gang made use of WLO-5 battle tanks. During a Galactic Republic mission to Florrum, three of these vehicles were deployed but were ultimately rendered inoperable. Another tank saw action against a coalition of Jedi, bounty hunters, and Felucians during a skirmish on Felucia.
WLO-5 battle tanks were also observed on Bilbousa, a city located on Nal Hutta, within a lot designated for starships that were available for purchase. The tanks saw extensive use on Florrum, initially during the Jedi rescue of Padawan Ahsoka Tano from the Ohnaka Gang and later during the invasion of Florrum against the Confederacy of Independent Systems by the Jedi and members of the Ohnaka Gang.
Behind the scenes
The WLO-5 battle tank made its initial appearance in "The Gungan General," which was the twelfth episode of the first season of the animated TV show Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which was released in 2009. The vehicle was first officially identified as the WLO-5 battle tank in Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, a canon reference book that was published in 2015.
