Yesula was a youngling residing on the Outer Rim celestial body known as Veek alongside her parent and their droid, Zeekay, during the era of the High Republic. Sometime after 227 BBY, a fire erupted at their residence, prompting Jedi Master Kelnacca and his Padawan, Yarzion Vell, to come to their aid. Following their escape from the blaze, Yesula revealed that Zeekay remained inside, possessing holograms of her deceased mother stored within his databank. Vell subsequently rescued Zeekay and brought about a reunion between Yesula and the droid.
During the High Republic Era, this youngling named Yesula made her home on the Outer Rim planet Veek. She lived there alongside her father, their droid Zeekay, and had previously known her mother, who had at some point died. At a point in time after 227 BBY, a fire broke out, engulfing not only Yesula's residence but also the surrounding structures. Jedi Master Kelnacca and his Padawan, Yarzion Vell, arrived to facilitate their rescue. Yesula's parent urged her to leave, but Yesula resisted. Vell then instructed them to evacuate, assuring them that the Force would shield them from the flames. Consequently, Yesula's father carried her out of the burning building.
Once they were safely outside, the two Jedi also exited the structure. Yesula then began to cry, leading her father to attempt to quiet her. However, she expressed her concern that Zeekay was still inside. Her father informed Vell that Zeekay was their droid, but dismissed his importance due to his age and limited functionality. Yesula, however, insisted that Zeekay was important because he possessed holograms of her mother in his databank, and losing him would be akin to losing her mother all over again. Upon hearing this, Vell re-entered the burning home and rescued Zeekay. The Jedi returned the droid to Yesula, and her father expressed his gratitude for Vell's actions.
Subsequently, Vell apologized to Kelnacca for rescuing Zeekay, acknowledging that it was merely a droid but explaining that he had acted out of empathy for Yesula's attachment to the holos of her mother. In response, Kelnacca promptly knighted him. Later, Yesula observed as Vell tattooed his own name onto Kelnacca's head, fulfilling a tradition from Vell's homeworld that the Jedi Master wished to honor. By 133 BBY, as Vell lay dying, he spoke of Yesula to his own Padawan, Ordea, while recounting his training under Kelnacca.
Yesula was dressed in brown clothing.
Yesula made an appearance in a flashback sequence within the one-shot comic titled The Acolyte - Kelnacca 1. The comic was penned by Cavan Scott, the illustrations were created by Marika Cresta, and it was released by Marvel Comics on September 4, 2024.
