108th

The 108th was an element of the Galactic Empire's military. This unit saw action during the Galactic Civil War after the Battle of Endor and was stationed in the Gordian Reach region of the Outer Rim Territories. Colonel Madrighast, an Imperial officer, attempted, without success, to integrate his troops with the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing prior to relocating to consolidate with the 108th.

Description

The 108th, a component of the Imperial Military, participated in the Galactic Civil War fought between the Galactic Empire and the New Republic. Their base of operations was in the Gordian Reach, a sector located within the Outer Rim Territories.

History

In 4 ABY, subsequent to the Battle of Endor, which led to Imperial forces fragmenting due to the initial death of Emperor Palpatine and the destruction of the second Death Star, the 108th found itself in the Gordian Reach of the Outer Rim. Around that time, Colonel Madrighast made contact with Colonel Shakara Nuress of the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing from aboard his Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Unyielding, following the 204th's attack against the New Republic frigate, the Hellion's Dare.

Madrighast suggested that Nuress bring her fighter wing to join his command before they moved into the Gordian Reach to link up with the 108th. However, Nuress refused after perceiving a veiled threat from Madrighast, informing him that she was establishing an operational base in the Pandem Nai system. Nuress instead suggested Madrighast resupply with her forces, rather than proceeding to the Gordian Reach to join the 108th. Several weeks afterward, Madrighast sent another communication to the 204th, inviting them to come join him in a rendezvous with the remnants of the Imperial Navy under the command of Admiral Rae Sloane.
