Kharrek was a male bounty hunter who operated during the Imperial Era. In 3 ABY, after Lady Domina Tagge, head of Tagge Corporation, placed a bounty on the rogue archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra, Kharrek partnered with the assassin Just Lucky in order to apprehend her. Utilizing darts laced with neurotoxin, Kharrek and Lucky captured Aphra at Arveesh Station, delivering her to Tagge aboard her flagship, the Acquisitor. After their arrival, Aphra incapacitated Kharrek with one of his own darts and used his blaster to threaten Tagge.
The bounty hunter Kharrek operated during the Imperial Era. In 3 ABY, Lady Domina Tagge, head of the Tagge Corporation, placed a bounty of twenty thousand credits on the rogue archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra, which was transmitted to Kharrek and a number of other bounty hunters by the bondsman Syphacc. Kharrek worked alongside the assassin Just Lucky to capture Aphra at Arveesh Station. After spotting the archaeologist south of the night market, Lucky fired upon and destroyed her speeder bike before informing Kharrek of Aphra's location and telling the hunter not to leave without him. Kharrek fired a neurotoxin dart at Aphra, approaching the archaeologist and informing her of her fate as she fell to the ground. As Aphra lost consciousness, she noted that he was the only hunter she did not recognize, but Kharrek simply remarked about his imminent riches.
Aboard a starship that Kharrek piloted, the two transported Aphra—who they placed in the vessel's airlock—to Tagge Space to deliver their target to Tagge aboard her flagship, the Acquisitor. When Kharrek noticed that Aphra had awoken from the neurotoxin's effect, he threatened to eject her from the airlock unless she behaved. As the pair's starship approached the Acquisitor, Kharrek interrupted a conversation between Aphra and Lucky to inform them of their arrival.
Landing their vessel aboard the Acquisitor, Kharrek and Lucky, the former pushing Aphra along by her arm, were escorted to Tagge's office by her assistant, Lapin Tagge, who informed them that the money would be transferred to their accounts upon delivery. After arriving in Domina's office, Kharrek restrained Aphra as she was questioned by the Tagge Corporation head. Stalling for time, Aphra discreetly reached for one of Kharrek's darts and used it on the hunter. As his own neurotoxin took effect, Kharrek called out and collapsed to the floor. Aphra used the incapacitated hunter's blaster to threaten Domina, who asked for privacy while she discussed the terms of a job for which she intended to hire the archaeologist.
Kharrek had red eyes and green skin with black markings on his face. A male insectlike individual who stood at least 1.56 meters tall, he possessed clawed hands and two pairs of smaller appendages on his lower torso. His mouth was surrounded by four mandibles, and he had spikes on his arms and head. Kharrek acted harshly toward Aphra while she was his captive, threatening to eject her from an airlock. Although, unlike the other hunters who were after Aphra, he was not recognized by her, Kharrek was merely confident that he would soon be rich.
A bounty hunter, Kharrek was proficient in the use of neurotoxin-filled darts to incapacitate his targets. He was also able to pilot a starship.
Kharrek wore a sleeveless light brown tunic that was ragged around the neck and shoulders, as well as brown pants and black boots. He also wore brown pauldrons, a bandolier, and a brown belt. The bounty hunter utilized darts containing a neurotoxin that was non-lethal—but, according to Kharrek, unpleasant. Kharrek also wore a holster carrying a blaster, which was stolen by Aphra and later confiscated from her by Domina. He flew a starship while transporting Aphra to the Acquisitor.
Kharrek appeared in the sixth issue of the 2020 Star Wars: Doctor Aphra comic series, written by Alyssa Wong, illustrated by Ray-Anthony Height and Robert Gill, and published by Marvel Comics on November 25, 2020. Prior to the comic's release, he was depicted in a preview of the issue published on StarWars.com on November 18 of that year.
