According to a Force vision shown to Darth Vader by the Eye of Webbish Bog between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, sometime after the Jedi's destruction of Sigma, the moon's location was removed from all star-charts. Sigma traveled back to Kligson's Moon to retrieve something he needed, though when he arrived he was attacked by homesteaders. Sigma fought back and killed the homesteaders aboard their ship, an event sensed by the Jedi Luke Skywalker. Skywalker and other members of the Rebel Alliance then traveled to the moon where Skywalker encountered Sigma.
In the current Star Wars canon, Kligson's Moon first appeared, via a vision, in the one shot comic issue Revelations, which was written by Marc Guggenheim and published by Marvel Comics on November 23, 2022. Kligson's Moon was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the forty-seventh issue of the comic series Star Wars, written by Archie Goodwin, illustrated by Carmine Infantino, and published by Marvel on February 24, 1981. In its original continuity, Kligson's Moon was a mobile space station populated by droids rather than an actual moon.
