Unidentified Clone Captain (Kamino)

A Clone Captain operated within the Grand Army of the Republic's security force located on the planet Kamino, reporting to both Jedi General Shaak Ti and Chief Medical Scientist Nala Se during the Clone Wars. This clone trooper officer played a role in the effort to capture the AWOL Advanced Recon Commando known as Fives along with the medical droid AZI-3 back in 19 BBY. After the pair initially evaded capture from the planet's capital, Tipoca City, the captain subsequently tried to seize the fleeing duo within the Genetic Records Hall, but his attempt was once again unsuccessful.

Subsequently, the captain provided assistance to Nala Se during her clandestine confrontation with the fugitives inside the Tipoca City embryo room. With the renegade clone holding Se as a hostage, the captain, along with the other security personnel, were compelled to listen as Fives made allegations concerning a conspiracy related to the inhibitor chips implanted in the clones. Following this, General Ti gave the order to transport Fives to the world of Coruscant to provide testimony.

Biography

The Clone Captain and other members of the Kamino security force watch as Fives and AZI-3 escape in a flight pod.

This clone, a clone trooper officer, served within the Galactic Republic's security force stationed on the planet Kamino. He was a genetic duplicate of the human male bounty hunter Jango Fett. Born and raised on the very same aquatic world, this clone was created to fight for the Grand Army of the Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. This trooper, who held the rank of Clone Captain, served under the command of both Jedi General Shaak Ti and Chief Medical Scientist Nala Se. In 19 BBY, when Advanced Recon Commando Fives went rogue and attempted to escape from Tipoca City, the Clone Captain, along with other members of the Kamino security forces, pursued both him and his medical droid companion, AZI-3. The pair of fugitives sought to investigate the death of Tup, as Fives believed it was connected to a conspiracy against the Republic.

Commanded by Shaak Ti and accompanied by Nala Se, the captain was the first to locate the fugitives as they boarded a Kaminoan flight pod and fled the city. The captain followed Ti's order to track the pod, but the Jedi Master soon sensed that things weren't as they appeared and started to doubt that the fugitives intended to leave the planet. The captain then verified his superior's suspicions when he informed her that someone was accessing Jango Fett's genotype within the Genetic Records Hall. Ti instructed the security force to evacuate the hall quietly, but Fives still managed to recognize that something was wrong. The captain, Ti, Se, and security force clones arrived at the hall, but the fugitives escaped through an access hatch before they could be stunned and captured. Se then directed the captain to position troops at all access points in the city's main hallway system, which connected to the service tunnels through which the fugitives were traveling.

Shaak Ti, the captain, and his comrades confront Fives, who holds Nala Se hostage.

Later on, the captain and the Jedi provided aid to Nala Se when she secretly confronted Fives and AZI-3 regarding their knowledge of the inhibitor chips inside the Tipoca City embryo room. Se was unable to discuss the true nature of the chips and tried to privately allay Fives' concerns without Ti's knowledge. Fives, however, was convinced that the chips should be removed to prevent further fatal malfunctions, as was the case with Tup. Soon after, Se's comrades arrived at the embryo room, and the captain warned the fugitives to remain still. In response, Fives positioned himself behind Se with a DC-15A blaster carbine pointed at her head, then relayed the information he had acquired regarding the biochips to his pursuers. Despite Nala Se's objections, Ti ultimately decided that it would be in the best interest for Fives and the evidence to be transported to the planet Coruscant so that Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine could be informed about the situation.

Personality and traits

Similar to all clones of the human male Jango Fett, the Clone Captain stood at 1.83 meters (6 feet) tall and weighed eighty kilograms. He followed orders from his superiors without question and commanded other clones during the pursuit of Fives and AZI-3.

Equipment

At birth, much like the other clone troopers, the Clone Captain was implanted by the Kaminoan scientists with a behavioral modification biochip to ensure that the trooper would not disobey certain orders. The Clone Captain was outfitted with Phase II clone trooper armor, which displayed the gray markings of the Kamino security force, along with a kama around his waist. His helmet featured an antenna, and the Aurebesh letter Cresh was painted onto his visor. In combat, he carried dual DC-17 hand blasters.

Behind the scenes
