During the age of the High Republic Era, the inhabitants of Hon-Tallos became the target of a devastating assault initiated by the Kara Xoo's Tempest. Deva Lompop, a member of the Nihil, participated in this violent event, seeking to relish the destruction before the arrival of the Jedi who would inevitably intervene. The Nihil employed flamethrowers along with a formidable Spider Cruiser to wreak havoc upon the city.
In the era known as the High Republic Era, the Nihil marauders engaged the Galactic Republic in a conflict that began with the Great Hyperspace Disaster. On the planet Hon-Tallos, the Kara Xoo's Tempest prepared to launch their offensive before the Jedi could thwart their plans. Deva Lompop, along with fellow Nihil, were already present on Hon-Tallos, poised to unleash their attack. Before this time, Lompop assisted Vroma, a young Nautolan girl, in dealing with her tormentors. Lompop then instructed her to leave, signaling the imminent commencement of the attack.
The assault commenced shortly after Lompop's directive to Vroma. Lompop, alongside the other Nihil pirates, brandished flamethrowers and began setting fire to the surrounding structures. This action prompted civilians to flee in search of safety. However, Vroma casually departed, perceiving Lompop as a kind lady. During the attack, a massive Nihil Spider Cruiser loomed over the city, obliterating buildings in its path. The Spider Cruiser unleashed its laser cannons, generating widespread explosions throughout the city. The use of flamethrowers ignited fires across the city, intensifying the chaos caused by the fleeing populace.
The events of the attack on Hon-Tallos were depicted in "Tales of Villainy: A Very Nihil Interlude", serving as the backstory for the fourteenth and concluding issue of the 2020 Star Wars Adventures anthology Star Wars comic book series. This comic story was authored by Justina Ireland, with illustrations by Nick Brokenshire, and was published by IDW Publishing on February 9, 2022
