Cloud City Limited

The fourth major expansion for the Star Wars Customizable Card Game, a card game set within the Star Wars world, was the Cloud City Limited set. Released in November of 1997, this set included 180 cards in total (90 for the Dark Side and 90 for the Light Side). The set's composition consisted of 80 rare cards, 50 uncommon cards, and 50 common cards. It brought to the card game many iconic characters connected to the events that transpired in Cloud City from Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.

As an expansion, each card has a specific symbol located near the top right, to the right of the lore, and just below the destiny number. This symbol identifies it as belonging to an expansion set. For this set, the symbol is a twin-pod cloud car.

This set was distributed in expansion packs containing 9 cards, and expansion boxes holding 60 packs. Each pack contained five common cards, three uncommon cards, and one rare card. There were no starter decks released for this set. Notably, this was the first expansion that was not followed by an unlimited edition release.

Continuity

This set provided the original names for a number of Episode V characters, particularly Imperial officers and inhabitants of Cloud City. Among the Imperials named are Sheckil, the character portrayed by Boba Fett actor Jeremy Bulloch, along with Bewil, Retwin, Desanne, Dainsom, and Cecius.

The names of Jerrol Blendin, Treva Horme, and Wiorkettle, characters initially mentioned in the first and second editions of Galaxy Guide 3: The Empire Strikes Back, were assigned to characters within this card set. Additionally, Utris M'Toc, an alien Bespin Wing Guard only previously seen in behind-the-scenes and promotional images from the film, was officially introduced here. Other significant characters whose names debuted in this set include E-3PO, Willrow Hood, and Ugloste.
