Dar'en
Dar'en, a female member of the Lupr'or species, inhabited the planet of Luprora around the period when the Battle of Starkiller Base transpired. She acted as a facilitator for First Order guests, namely Captain Phasma and TN-3465, during the pursuit of Lieutenant Sol Rivas. She aided them in retrieving technological components from an old Lupr'or spaceship. Afterward, Dar'en took part in Phasma's offensive against the R'ora fortress.
Biography
Dar'en was a fully grown Lupr'or female who existed during the New Republic Era. She made her home in the Lupr'or village, the settlement for the remaining Lupr'or who had managed to survive the rising sea levels and the threat posed by the aquatic Tsw'ells and the R'ora. She escorted Captain Phasma, TN-3465, and the droid BB-K8 to Jair'i, the village's leader. After Jair'i recounted the grim history of the Lupr'or people, she informed them that their "associate," Lieutenant Sol Rivas, would soon meet his end. When Phasma rejected the notion that Rivas would be killed, she was informed that Dar'en would guide her and TN-3465 to the location where the creatures held Rivas, allowing them to witness the futility of the situation.
Dar'en escorted Captain Phasma and TN-3465 to the R'ora stronghold, situated in a lake infested with tsw'ell creatures. As Phasma leaned down near the water to examine the area, Dar'en cautioned her about the danger of being close to the water and suggested they leave. When Phasma inquired about the creatures' sleep patterns, Dar'en stated that they slept briefly in the early morning hours.
Dar'en went with Captain Phasma, TN-3465, and Ali'ane's great granddaughter to the residence of Ali'ane, her great grandmother. While Captain Phasma questioned Ali'ane about the origin of her great-granddaughter's necklace, Dar'en remained with TN-3465. Subsequently, Dar'en accompanied Phasma, TN-3465, and Ali'ane's great-granddaughter to a derelict Lupr'or starship, the only one that hadn't been submerged by the sea.
Upon returning to the village, Dar'en misinterpreted TN-3465's instruction to gather everyone, believing she only needed to bring the men. Dar'en was present during the argument between TN-3465 and BB-K8, where TN-3465 instructed the droid to rectify its error, even at the cost of appearing foolish. Shortly thereafter, Captain Phasma delivered an inspiring speech, urging the Lupr'or to fight for their survival against the R'ora. Captain Phasma devised a strategy to neutralize the tsw'ells surrounding the island fortress by electrocuting them using generators recovered from the ship.
After crossing the lake by boat, Dar'en ascended the cliff overlooking the R'ora stronghold's battlements alongside Phasma and TN-3465. During the climb, Phasma had flashbacks of climbing with Torben, Frey, and Siv. While Dar'en and her people engaged the R'ora in combat, Phasma secretly murdered Rivas, concealing her involvement in the destruction of Starkiller Base. Considering the Lupr'or unfit to adapt to the planet's changes, Phasma abandoned Dar'en and her people to the R'ora and the harsh conditions of Luprora.
Personality and traits
Dar'en was a woman of the Lupr'or species, characterized by green skin, black hair, and green eyes. She was taller than Jair'i, the Lupr'or leader. She communicated in Lupre'en. Dar'en proved to be a dedicated and dependable guide, serving Captain Phasma and TN-3465 effectively. She also possessed skill in climbing. Dar'en was also capable of combat and took part in the assault on the R'ora stronghold. She wore blue overalls with a white collar and red straps.

Dar'en's initial appearance was in Star Wars: Captain Phasma, a four-part comic series published in 2017 by Marvel Comics as part of the Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi promotional campaign. She was brought to life by writer Kelly Thompson, illustrator Marco Checchetto, and colorist Andres Mossa.
