Within the naval forces of the First Order, there existed a human TIE fighter pilot designated TN-3465. After the Battle of Starkiller Base, they, along with their BB unit, BB-K8, joined Captain Phasma on a mission. This mission was to locate and capture Lieutenant Sol Rivas, who was suspected of involvement in the destruction of Starkiller Base. Their journey led them to Luprora, a desolate world characterized by its rocky terrain and vast oceans.
On Luprora, TN-3465 and BB-K8 aided Captain Phasma in recruiting the Lupr'or colonists, a humanoid species, to launch an assault on the R'ora's stronghold. Rivas was being held captive at this stronghold. The attack was a calculated distraction, allowing Phasma to eliminate Rivas and conceal her own culpability in disabling Starkiller Base's shield. TN-3465 discovered Phasma's involvement in the superweapon's demise. To silence TN-3465 and eliminate any potential "loose ends," Phasma murdered the pilot and destroyed BB-K8.

During the First Order-Resistance War, TN-3465, a TIE fighter pilot within the First Order, lived without a given name, identified solely by their designation. During the Battle of Starkiller Base, TN-3465 was positioned inside an auxiliary hangar on Starkiller Base. They had not joined the battle because their TIE/sf space superiority fighter was undergoing a data update performed by a BB unit named BB-K8. While Captain Phasma was attempting to track down Lieutenant Sol Rivas, accused of disabling Starkiller Base's shields, she encountered TN-3465 in the hangar and instructed them to assist in the hunt for Rivas.
Shortly before the destruction of Starkiller Base, caused by its own stored stellar energy, TN-3465, Captain Phasma, and BB-K8 left the planet. TN-3465, following Phasma's directives, pursued Rivas' TIE/fo space superiority fighter through space. However, Phasma was unable to shoot Rivas down because BB-K8 had not completed repairs on the ship's laser cannons. With fuel running low, Rivas landed his fighter on the planet Luprora. TN-3465, still under Phasma's orders, followed him, being careful not to reveal their presence.

After landing their TIE/sf fighter on Luprora, TN-3465 informed Phasma that Rivas' fighter was located to the east. As they moved towards Rivas' TIE fighter, Phasma instructed TN-3465 to carry BB-K8 using straps, as the droid's globular shape made navigating the rocky terrain difficult. Upon arriving at the site, Phasma determined that Rivas had been captured by unknown entities. They sought refuge in an abandoned dwelling, where they exchanged their First Order uniforms for civilian attire. TN-3465 removed their helmet, while Phasma donned a helmet with a red visor to conceal her identity. To maintain their disguise, TN-3465 adopted the alias "Pilot," and Phasma referred to herself as "Captain."
Spotting a nearby settlement, TN-3465, Phasma, and BB-K8 waded through a lake. However, they were attacked by a giant tentacled Tsw'ell monster, which dragged Phasma beneath the surface. TN-3465 was also struck by a tentacle and lost consciousness underwater. Captain Phasma used a knife to sever the creature's tentacles, killing it. TN-3465 and their team reached the other side, where they encountered a group of humanoid Lupr'or, who had colonized Luprora centuries prior.
TN-3465 observed that Captain Phasma was able to communicate with the natives, who spoke a variation of Lupre'en. Jair'i, the leader of the Lupr'or people, hosted the First Order visitors. Jair'i explained that the Lupr'or were descendants of offworld migrants who had abandoned technology in favor of a lifestyle centered on farming and fishing. However, rising sea levels and a deteriorating climate had diminished their farmland. The Lupr'or were also threatened by Tsw'ell monsters and an indigenous alien species known as the R'ora. TN-3465 and Phasma learned that the R'ora had captured Rivas.

Jair'i dispatched Dar'en, a Lupr'or guide, to show TN-3465 and Captain Phasma the R'ora stronghold. This was an attempt to demonstrate the impossibility of rescuing Rivas. The stronghold was an island surrounded by a lake infested with Tsw'ells. As Phasma assessed the situation, TN-3465 lamented the inoperability of their fighter's weapons, wishing they could simply destroy the stronghold from the air. Phasma replied that they would have to find another way. The group would remain on the planet for four days.
Upon returning to the village, Phasma inquired about a necklace worn by a young Lupr'or girl. The girl led Phasma, TN-3465, and Dar'en to the home of her great-grandmother, Ali'ane, who revealed that she had obtained the necklace from an ancient Lupr'or starship, which she called the "soul killer." Ali'ane's great-granddaughter agreed to guide the offworlders to the ship's location in exchange for keeping it a secret from the elderly woman.
For several hours, TN-3465, Phasma, Dar'en, and Ali'ane's great-granddaughter ascended a mountain. During the arduous climb, TN-3465 complained about the rocky terrain and vowed never to leave their ship again. Phasma urged TN-3465 to quicken their pace and cease complaining, prompting an apology. The Lupr'or girl led them to a wrecked Lupr'or ship situated on a high peak. TN-3465 and Phasma agreed that the ship's contents would be sufficient for their plan.
Upon returning to the village, TN-3465 instructed BB-K8 to translate their message to Dar'en, requesting the presence of all villagers. However, BB-K8 mistranslated the Lupre'en word for "everyone" as "men." TN-3465 became angry and rebuked the droid for causing embarrassment in front of Dar'en. TN-3465 insisted that the droid correct his mistake, even at the cost of losing face. However, Captain Phasma, now wearing her armor and carrying her blaster rifle, interrupted the pilot. TN-3465 complied with Phasma's order to put on their uniform.
TN-3465 was present when Phasma delivered an impassioned speech, urging the Lupr'or to fight against their impending extinction by utilizing all available resources. She encouraged them to employ the technology and weapons their ancestors had abandoned to wage war on the R'ora. Phasma promised to lead them to victory. To reach Sol Rivas inside the R'ora stronghold, Phasma devised a plan to use generators recovered from the starship to electrocute the tsw'ells inhabiting the lake surrounding the stronghold. TN-3465 was aware of Phasma's plan and praised her oratory skills. However, Phasma confessed that she was merely using the Lupr'or as expendable soldiers to reach the stronghold.
Three days later at dawn, the Lupr'or used the generators to electrify the lake, killing the tsw'ells guarding the stronghold. Under Phasma's leadership, TN-3465, Dar'en, and the Lupr'or army crossed the lake and scaled the cliff that served as a wall for the R'ora stronghold. While climbing, TN-3465 expressed fear of falling. At that moment, Phasma experienced a flashback of climbing on Parnassos with her fellow clan members Siv, Torben, and Frey. When Phasma called out Siv's name, TN-3465 inquired about Siv's identity. Phasma dismissed the question, stating that Siv was someone she used to know and was of no concern. She instructed the pilot to climb faster.
Upon reaching the top, TN-3465 remarked that they would be happy if they never had to climb again. TN-3465 and Captain Phasma surveyed the battlements, observing an army of formidable R'ora defenders. TN-3465 and Phasma led the attack on the R'ora, with TN-3465 firing thier blaster. TN-3465 reported that they were being overwhelmed and needed to retreat. Phasma disagreed and instructed them to wait for the Lupr'or army to descend the wall and attack the R'ora. While the battle raged, TN-3465 and Phasma proceeded with their true objective.
Captain Phasma assigned TN-3465 to guard their exit while she entered the R'ora tower to confront Rivas. Disobeying Phasma's orders, TN-3465 eavesdropped on the conversation between Phasma and Rivas. When Phasma demanded that Rivas confess to "his crime," Rivas revealed that she was responsible for disabling Starkiller Base's shield and mocked her. Phasma executed Rivas with her blaster rifle. TN-3465 panicked, contemplating how to escape the planet alive, and decided to feign concern for the Lupr'or.
When Captain Phasma asked why they had not waited by the exit, TN-3465 claimed that they had fought some R'ora to secure their escape route. After Phasma confirmed Rivas' death, TN-3465 inquired whether they were abandoning the Lupr'or. Phasma asserted that the Lupr'or were doomed because they were not suited to the planet's evolution. Since the native R'ora were more adaptable to the planet's rising sea levels, Phasma concluded that the Lupr'or were facing extinction and that their arrival had merely accelerated the process.
While TN-3465 prepared their fighter, Captain Phasma watched as the rising seas engulfed the R'ora stronghold, wiping out the Lupr'or. She then destroyed BB-K8 with her blaster. Phasma ordered a shocked TN-3465 to raise their hands and turn around. TN-3465, pretending to be unaware of Phasma's secret, asked why. Phasma countered that they already knew. Phasma told TN-3465 that she was a survivor determined to eliminate any loose ends. TN-3465 protested that they were not a loose end and that she had no way of threatening her. Phasma countered that it did not matter what she knew before shooting TN-3465 through the chest, killing her.
As TN-3465 took their last breath, Phasma gently laid the pilot on the rock and closed thier eyes. She remarked that one loose end was one too many. In Phasma's final report to the First Order, she claimed that TN-3465 and BB-K8 had died during the mission to hunt down and deliver justice to the "traitor" Sol Rivas. She also made sure to identify the pilot by their proper designation, TN-3465.
TN-3465 was a human woman characterized by short black hair and blue eyes. As a First Order TIE fighter pilot, they possessed expertise in flying TIE fighters and operating blasters. The pilot preferred flying to the challenges of climbing on a terrestrial world. While TN-3465 relied on technology, Phasma demonstrated adaptability and resourcefulness. TN-3465 once lost their temper with the astromech droid BB-K8 after the latter mistranslated one of thier messages to the Lupr'or, causing embarrassment in front of the Lupr'or guide Dar'en. Despite this strained relationship, They expressed sorrow and shock for BB-K8 when he was destroyed by Captain Phasma.
TN-3465 was impressed by Captain Phasma's oratory and leadership but later discovered that Phasma was merely manipulating the Lupr'or to achieve her goal of reaching Sol Rivas. They were horrified to learn that Phasma had killed Rivas to conceal her own role in the destruction of Starkiller Base. The pilot attempted to avoid arousing Phasma' suspicions by feigning concern for the Lupr'or. However, they underestimated Phasma's determination to survive at all costs, including killing others to protect her secrets.
As a First Order TIE pilot, TN-3465 wore a black uniform and helmet. During an undercover mission on Luprora, the pilot wore a blue tunic, white scarf, brown trousers, and a belt.
TN-3465 made their debut in Star Wars: Captain Phasma, a four-issue comic series published by Marvel Comics in 2017 as part of the Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi promotional campaign. The character was created by Kelly Thompson, with illustrations by Marco Checchetto and colors by Andres Mossa.
