Akiva Summit

The Akiva Summit represented an emergency assembly that occurred on the Outer Rim planet of Akiva. This meeting took place a few months following the Battle of Endor and included some of the most influential individuals still remaining in the Galactic Empire. Grand Admiral Rae Sloane ostensibly organized this meeting, which was attended by surviving Imperial elites, such as the self-proclaimed Grand Moff Valco Pandion, General Jylia Shale, advisor and Dark Side follower Yupe Tashu, and financier Arsin Crassus. It was temporarily known as the Imperial Future Council. The purpose of the gathering was for the attendees to collectively decide on a course of action to restore the collapsing Galactic Empire. Governor Ubrik Adelhard was invited to the Summit as well, but when asked about his absence, the Grand Moff informed Admiral Sloane that the Empire's future resided within the Anoat sector, suggesting she instead send reinforcements to bolster his Imperial faction in their own endeavors.

Internal disputes among the delegates, especially the contention between Admiral Sloane and Grand Moff Pandion, significantly hampered the summit. A group of insurgents under the command of New Republic starfighter pilot Norra Wexley discovered the conference and incited an uprising in Myrra. Subsequently, New Republic Navy forces, led by Admiral Ackbar, intervened on Akiva, effectively ending the emergency summit. Sloane successfully escaped, but both Pandion and Crassus were killed during the escape attempt. General Shale and advisor Tashu were captured by New Republic forces. In reality, Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax had orchestrated the summit to eliminate rivals to his claim over the Empire.
