Fionah Ti

Fionah Ti, a Human daughter of two Jedi who lacked the Force-sensitive trait, acquired diverse skills from both the Jedi and the Yuuzhan Vong while residing on Zonama Sekot. These skills included foundational Shaper skills. Following the conclusion of the Sith–Imperial War, this Human embarked on a journey to Wayland with the purpose of uncovering evidence that the Ossus Project had not been infiltrated by the Yuuzhan Vong. Ti chose to remain on Wayland, dedicating herself to restoring individuals who had undergone mutations inflicted by Zenoc Quah, the saboteur and shaper responsible for compromising the Ossus Project.

In the year 137 ABY, Darth Maladi orchestrated a trap targeting the former Jedi, Cade Skywalker, utilizing a bounty placed on Ti as the bait to draw him to Wayland. Skywalker arrived accompanied by Jariah Syn and Deliah Blue. Blue was subsequently captured and subjected to torture as part of an attempt to sway Skywalker towards the dark side. After freeing the incapacitated Syn, Ti joined forces with him to aid in the rescue of his companions. They were also assisted by Jedi Master Wolf Sazen. The group successfully combatted Quah's mutated Vongspawn, only to discover that Maladi had activated a self-destruct mechanism within her laboratory, which Ti's efforts to deactivate proved unsuccessful. Fionah Ti, along with Sazen and Syn, escaped the ensuing explosion, while Skywalker employed the light side of the Force to heal Blue.

Biography

Early life

Fionah Ti was a female Human born to two Jedi who were stationed on Zonama Sekot sometime before the Sith–Imperial War. Despite lacking Force-sensitivity, Ti received training in combat techniques from both the Jedi and the Yuuzhan Vong. The latter also imparted fundamental Shaper skills to her.

As the Sith-Imperial War broke out, Zonama Sekot initiated a hyperspace jump, severing contact between its inhabitants and the Ossus Jedi. They later learned of the massacre that occurred on Ossus. Ti and others were tasked with finding proof of sabotage of the Ossus Project. Considering that the Vongspawn virus had its origins on Wayland, Ti journeyed there and discovered that Zenoc Quah, a Yuuzhan Vong saboteur, had continued to conduct experiments involving Vongspawn mutations. Over time, Ti managed to devise a method for reverting some of the mutated subjects to their original state.

Marked for a trap

In the year 137 ABY, Darth Maladi devised a trap intended for the former Jedi, Cade Skywalker, and offered the pirate Rav one million credits for information leading to Skywalker's capture. After locating Skywalker on Zeltros, the pirate claimed to have a bounty assignment worth one million credits to eliminate a "local pest"—actually Fionah Ti—who was interfering with the operations of some associates on Wayland. Skywalker, along with his friend Jariah Syn and his lover Deliah Blue, accepted the bounty.

The trio was ambushed and rendered unconscious by the near-fatal screams emanating from mutated Vongspawn. Blue was taken to a laboratory before Ti could intervene, and Skywalker left only blood behind in the time it took to bring Syn to Ti's ship. Upon awakening, Syn, without waiting for explanations, attempted to attack Ti. After briefly outlining the events, Ti executed a shoulder throw on Syn, then provided more details of what had happened while he was unconscious. When he mentioned that he had come with Cade Skywalker, Ti recognized the name, knowing of him and his father, Kol Skywalker. As Syn grew angry that Rav had set them up, an amphistaff appeared behind Ti. Speaking in the Yuuzhan Vong language, Syn calmed and claimed the amphistaff for himself with the name Heartstriker. Ti was impressed and called him a warrior, then offered to work with him to find his friends.

To the rescue

Ti and Syn traveled to the location where they believed his friends were being held. Despite Ti's concerns that Blue and Skywalker might be beyond help, Syn insisted that they had to make an attempt. The Zabrak Jedi Master Wolf Sazen also arrived on Wayland after experiencing visions indicating that Skywalker needed his assistance. Sazen was initially skeptical until Syn described Ti as "a friend," which he said was enough. The three then continued onward together to the laboratory.

As they battled Quah's creations, Syn used Heartstriker to defend Ti from the Vuuzhan Vong. When Syn, Sazen, and Ti located Blue, they discovered that Maladi had tortured and infected her in order to manipulate Skywalker. Maladi had activated a self-destruct mechanism on the laboratory, and despite never seeing the technology before, Ti attempted to disarm it; however, they were all running out of time. While Skywalker remained behind to attempt to heal Blue, which Sazen urged him to do using the light side of the Force instead of the dark, Ti fled from the impending explosion with Syn and Sazen. Afterward, the trio learned that Skywalker had succeeded and the couple had survived.
