Glish, a Sedrian male hailing from the planet Sedri, lived during the era of the Galactic Civil War. During the Sedri civil war, he aligned himself with the bishop of war Karak and his renegades, acting as Karak's personal protector. Glish, along with Karak and five other renegades, participated in an attack on the sun caves located in the city of Fitsay during the siege of the Fitsay Sun caves, aiming to seize the power of the Golden Sun. A group of Rebels and a Sedrian priest named Pek pursued Karak and his followers into the caves. Glish, along with the other renegades except Karak, lay in wait to ambush them. He was positioned in an anemonae farm within the cave, an area filled with poisonous anemone species. Upon the Rebels' entry, he unleashed a volley from his spear gun before retreating through the room, ultimately meeting his death in the ensuing conflict.
Glish, a male Sedrian native to the planet Sedri, a water-dominated world within the Sedri system, remained largely isolated from the greater galaxy. During Glish's lifetime, a civil war erupted on his homeworld. This conflict pitted the religious order known as the Priests of the Sun, who governed Sedri from the city of Fitsay, against a faction of renegades led by the former bishop of war Karak, who challenged their authority. Glish chose to support the renegades in this conflict, who opposed the Priests due to their control over the Golden Sun, a massive collective of polyp species known as Golden Sun coral. This coral formed a group-minded sentient entity with a significant connection to the Force, including potent healing abilities. However, the priests concealed it within the Great Shell Dome in the heart of Fitsay, restricting access to a select few. Karak led the renegades with the belief that all Sedrians deserved access to the Golden Sun, although Karak's true motivation was to seize the coral's power for his own gain.
During the War, an Imperial scout ship accidentally stumbled upon Sedri. Following the report of its location, a small Imperial garrison was established on the planet, commanded by commander Aban. The Imperial presence, in turn, attracted the attention of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. A Rebel dignitary named Mors Odrion and his companion Rekara journeyed to the world. However, the rebels soon encountered the renegades, who captured them for interrogation, unaccustomed to off-worlders. While the renegades considered using Odrion as a potential bargaining chip with the new Imperial presence, Rekara managed to escape and pilfer a small piece of Golden coral that the renegades had taken from Fitsay.
Karak subsequently brought Odrion to the Imperial garrison and forged an alliance with Aban. The agreement stipulated that the renegades and the Empire would jointly attack Fitsay, seize the power of the Golden Sun, and divide it equally between the two factions. The former priest of war kept the deal a secret from most of the renegades, many of whom were suspicious of the Imperials. A group of six rebels who had traveled to Sedri with Rekara, and who had managed to reach the rebel Delta Base on New Kisge seeking aid, exploited this situation. The group leveraged Karak's betrayal of their trust to persuade many renegades to side with them and the priests of the Sun in the upcoming battle, including Karak's daughter, Fala.
Those renegades left, which included Glish, and the Empire then staged their siege on the Sun Caves with the use of a Aquatic Terrain Armored Transport. The Imperial troops, mainly consisting of Aquatic assault stormtroopers, met the forces of Fistay and the Rebels outside of the city. Karak, however, selected six of his most loyal and formidable renegades: Dragob, Glish, K'hondo, Porm, Spodan, and Burborok, as well as his pet razort Tooch and their prisoner Odrion, to the Sun caves in attempt to claim the coral for himself and defeat the Imperials and priests.
At the cave, the group was confronted by the High Priest Cardo, however one of them slash him across the chest, causing a near fatal wound. They then moved into the cave, with Karak and Odrion heading straight for the main chamber while the others spread out through the cave so to slow down any pursuers. Glish waited within a chamber used as an anemonae farm in the cave, armed with a spear gun and a sun gun and pressed up against the wall out of view. The group of six rebels, Rekara and Cardo's son Pek soon entered the cave in search of Karak and came upon Glish. The Sedrian fired the spear gun at the group, and then fled down the tunnel fireing the sun gun at pursuers. The group then fought and killed Glish outside of the main chamber where Karak awaited them. The Rebels went on to successfully stop Karak by persuading the Golden Sun to separate and weaken its power, which Karak had taken control of becoming near invincible.
Glish's initial appearance occurred in the West End Games adventure module, Battle for the Golden Sun, authored by Douglas Kaufman and released in 1988 as part of the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. He serves as an adversary encountered by the player characters during the adventure's final chapter, whom they must eliminate to reach Karak and successfully complete their mission.
