Hassk

The Hassks were a sentient species indigenous to the world of Hasskyn. They possessed a thick coat of fur over nearly their entire bodies, with the exception of their faces, which displayed gray skin. Their senses were heightened by acute hearing and exceptional night vision, advantageous for hunting. Considered by many to be akin to wild animals, Hassks exhibited near-feral behavior. They existed within a rudimentary society characterized by minimal technological advancement. Upon their initial exposure to space travel, numerous individuals abandoned their homeworld, seeking out planets where they could instigate chaos, particularly in disreputable establishments. Several Hassks became members of Kragan Gorr's pirate gang. The infamous Hassk triplets were known troublemakers who frequented Takodana Castle.

Biology and appearance

Hassks were a species of subhumanoids that were native to the planet Hasskyn. Almost all of their bodies were covered in cream-colored fur. However, their faces were devoid of hair, revealing skin that was either grey or cornflower blue. They possessed sensitive ears, along with two large, forward-facing eyes that could have an orange tint, granting them exceptional night vision. Their mouths contained sharp, flesh-tearing fangs, and they had strong jaws capable of inflicting significant harm.

Society and culture

Despite possessing sentience, Hassks displayed a fierce demeanor, reminiscent of wild creatures, and their culture remained primitive. Multiple births were common among them, with siblings often referred to as littermates.

Hassks in the galaxy

The Hassks were unprepared for the moral implications of advanced technology when they first encountered it. As a result, many departed from Hasskyn, traveling throughout the galaxy with their littermates and causing disturbances in disreputable locations.

One Hassk served within the Gray Gundarks speeder bike gang during their attempt to seize the lost treasure belonging to the Sith Lord Count Dooku on the planet Ponemah Terminal sometime after the Battle of Endor.

Numerous Hassk pirates, including Tooms and Snarl, served under Kragan Gorr in his pirate gang during the era of the New Republic.

Varmik and his two brothers, known collectively as the Hassk triplets, were known to frequent the castle of the pirate Maz Kanata approximately thirty years following the Battle of Endor. While these thugs frequently attempted to create trouble within the castle's main hall, other individuals maintained order.
