II-0810 Satellite Station

The II-0810 Satellite Station, also known as Nova Garon, functioned as a secret listening station. Constructed and concealed amidst a dense field of frozen asteroids within the Nova Garon system, it was utilized by the Imperial Security Bureau to gather intelligence on neighboring systems and develop strategic plans. Furthermore, it served as a heavily armed staging ground for the Imperial Military, providing resources and support for extensive operations.

Description

The II-0810 Satellite Station, a sprawling installation, was built within a substantial cluster of stellar crystals. Its interior was primarily painted in shades of white and gray, featuring corridors with a vertically rectangular design. The station incorporated a sophisticated and intricate security system.

Station access was facilitated through hanger bays and cargo landing platforms, including a sizable one accommodating TIE/ln space superiority starfighters and TIE/sa bombers. Bode's Z-95 Headhunter was once docked within the hangar. Multiple control stations were strategically positioned within the hangar. Upon Kestis' arrival, heightened security measures led to restricted hangar access, with all traffic redirected to secondary landing pads for thorough inspection until further notice. Hangar security protocols included Air Traffic Control systems whose external monitoring could be compromised, resulting in the ATC external monitoring system going offline, potentially due to a training exercise or unauthorized system intrusion.

Control stations throughout the station oversaw security protocols, managing redundant, closed-network backup servers to mitigate power outages or enemy incursions. Terminals requiring authorization were also present. Hexagonal maintenance shafts, clad in gray plating and patrolled by Viper probe droids, were integrated into the station's design. As an additional security measure, electron walls were deployed throughout the station. Common in high-security Imperial facilities, these walls permitted the passage of non-organic matter unharmed, while inflicting pain on anything else. In emergency situations, electron wall lockdowns were to be initiated, with multiple walls activated to eliminate intruders.

The central command center featured a large chamber with a multi-bridge walkway system capable of rotation under specific circumstances. A platform with a large holoprojector was situated at the center of the walkways, enabling Lank Denvik to address station personnel from his command center, which overlooked the central command center from his spacious office. Another large chamber, also featuring a platform surrounded by multiple walkways, was present. An area beneath the platform was protected by electron walls. A large corridor connected both the center and Denvik's office.

Access to the officers' living quarters required passing through a security scanner designed to detect weaponry, bombs, hazardous materials, and other potential threats. The scanner prevented unauthorized entry to the area. Before entering the officers' quarters, visiting personnel were required to state their purpose, which should have been communicated by central command. Failure to do so would result in the dispatch of a security droid. Bode Akuna, a former Jedi and ISB operative concealed from the rest of the Empire, occupied one of the quarters with his daughter, Kata. His quarters contained an audio message from Bode to Kata, data collected from Bode's undercover mission, and a family portrait featuring Bode, Kata, and Tayala Akuna.

History

The station was operated by many ISB officers.

In 9 BBY, the Stinger Mantis crew, led by Jedi Knight Cal Kestis, infiltrated the station. During the search for Bode Akuna, forces of the Inquisitorius were present, investigating rumors that Chief Supervisor Lank Denvik was hiding a Jedi. Akuna and his daughter managed to escape as the Inquisitorius seized control of the station. While pursuing Akuna, Kestis briefly succumbed to the dark side of the Force, leaving a path of destruction and killing numerous Security Bureau and Inquisitorius personnel who opposed him. The officers were terrified by their enemy's intensity. Darth Vader later executed Denvik.

Bounty hunters Fenn and Masi Finau, employed by the Haxion Brood crime syndicate, subsequently infiltrated the station along with their droid KLE-0. Kestis, searching for bounty hunters interested in acquiring the bounty placed on him by the Haxion Brood, killed them.
