Janos Zarbo, an elite councilor within the Chirq Council, was a male Human who resided on Corellia throughout the Galactic Civil War era.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Janos Zarbo stood as one of the nine elite councilors commanding the criminal syndicate known as the Chirq Council. The other eight leaders included Markus Gilder, Braganti Hooge, Koran Lassk, Zuld Mar-Shayal, Mathazar Zayet, Rallyn Secura, Crale Forte, and Atlan Dubreas. Zarbo operated from the Second Elite Council Bunker, situated near the city of Doaba Guerfel.
In the year 1 ABY, the Corellian Security Force launched an investigation into the Chirq Council due to escalating ryll smuggling activities on Corellia. Captain Vitala Baize made the decision to have a CorSec agent infiltrate the organization. This agent assumed the identity of Trins Evnar, a Chirq Council operative located in Doaba Guerfel. After eliminating Evnar and all other Chirq Council members who knew him, the CorSec agent adopted Trins Evnar's persona and approached the underboss Jzoro Quanera, successfully gaining entry into the organization. The CorSec extracted the identities of the nine elite councilors and the locations of their clandestine headquarters from Jzoro Quanera's database. The CorSec subsequently attacked both the First and Second Elite Council Bunkers, resulting in the deaths of all elite councilors during the raids. The Chirq Council dissolved into various factions after the demise of Janos Zarbo and the other elite councilors.
Janos Zarbo appeared as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and released by LucasArts, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. Janos Zarbo was integrated into the game through the "Chapter 1: The Corellian Captives" update, which was made available on June 8, 2006.
