Mathazar Zayet, a Twi'lek of the male gender, held the position of elite councilor within the Chirq Council. He resided on Corellia amidst the Galactic Civil War era.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Mathazar Zayet served as one of the nine elite councilors at the helm of the criminal syndicate known as the Chirq Council. His colleagues in this leadership role included Markus Gilder, Braganti Hooge, Koran Lassk, Janos Zarbo, Rallyn Secura, Zuld Mar-Shayal, Crale Forte, and Atlan Dubreas. Zayet operated from the First Elite Council Bunker, situated near the city of Doaba Guerfel.
During 1 ABY, the Corellian Security Force initiated an investigation targeting the Chirq Council due to a surge in ryll trafficking on Corellia. Captain Vitala Baize opted to infiltrate the organization by utilizing a CorSec agent who assumed the identity of Trins Evnar, a Chirq Council member based in Doaba Guerfel. After eliminating Evnar, along with all other Chirq Council criminals familiar with him, the CorSec agent successfully adopted Trins Evnar's persona and approached the underboss Jzoro Quanera, thereby gaining access to the organization. From Jzoro Quanera's database, the CorSec acquired the identities of the nine elite councilors and the locations of their clandestine headquarters. Ultimately, the CorSec launched assaults on both the First and Second Elite Council Bunkers, resulting in the deaths of all elite councilors during the operation. Subsequent to the demise of Mathazar Zayet and his fellow elite councilors, the Chirq Council experienced fragmentation.
Mathazar Zayet appeared as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game crafted by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts, before its termination on December 15, 2011. The character of Mathazar Zayet was introduced to the game through the "Chapter 1: The Corellian Captives" update, which was released on June 8, 2006.
